Kanan's POV

The plan had been a simple one. I needed to get inside and find Ezra so that we could bust him out. We had several people in place to find Ezra. Mine was the most obvious. I snuck into the prison, pulled on any old jumpsuit, and wandered over to join the other prisoners. I had a communicator with me in case of emergencies.

Zeb and Sabine were using stolen stormtrooper armor to act as stormtroopers and try to find Ezra. The two of them had followed the Inquisitor to wherever he was going.

We had given Chopper a makeover again. He was searching the records for any information on Ezra. Hera was waiting with the Ghost nearby.

I pulled myself back to the present. The three kids from my vision were glancing at one another, and then back at me.

"Doesn't seem like a very good plan if you got yourself captured," the dark haired boy said.

"That was my plan first," the blond boy said. "Getting captured so that I could rescue you guys."

"And we all know how well that plan worked, Kaz," the dark haired boy grumped.

"Can you or can you not help me?" I asked.

"Can," the girl said. "My name's Kimble. This is my brother Conner and my best friend Kaz. You just missed Ezra. The Inquisitor took him."

I cursed my bad luck. At least Sabine and Zeb would be able to intercept him. But there wasn't much I could do to help at the moment.

"Where is Ezra's cell?" I asked.

"None of us know," Conner said. "He has a special cell away from all of the others. It's been that way ever since his last attempted break out."

"He tried to break out?" I asked admiringly. That kid could do anything!

"Yeah. He almost got away with it too," Conner said.

"I know where his cell is," Kimble told me.

"Where?" I asked.

"I can sense what direction Ezra is. We have a sort of mental link. He made it when he was trying to contact you."

"Can you lead us to him?"

"Yes."

"Stick close to me. There's about to be a lot of commotion," I said. The stormtroopers started rounding up prisoners to take them back to their cells. They came up to our table.

"Hey," one of them said. "I don't recognize you prisoner 68. Where's your protocol band?"

I punched the stormtrooper's helmet and he crumbled to the ground. I did the same to his buddy. Luckily the room was already empty other than the stormtroopers I took out.

"Wow," Kaz said. "You really aren't messing around."

"Let's go. We're going to start attracting attention," I told the kids. "Lead the way, Kimble."

Kimble hurried out of the room and started navigating the halls.

"We're coming Ezra," I said as we ran.

Zeb's POV

I hate stormtrooper armor. It's tight and uncomfortable. But I would put up with wearing it for the kid.

It was easy enough fooling those stormtroopers. We told them the Inquisitor called for us and they pointed us in the right direction. Then we took out the real Inquisitor's stormtroopers and took their places. At the moment the Inquisitor was in a cell while we were stationed outside.

"You think the Inquisitor will really lead us to Ezra?" Sabine asked.

"Yeah," I replied. "If Kanan thinks he will, then I think he will."

The Inquisitor exited the cell, but the door closed before we could see what was inside. He turned to us.

"Repeat the same process as before the meal. One of you must remain here to guard Prisoner 66. I will go deal with Prisoner 67. Be on high alert. The rebels are nearby," he commanded us. We both saluted him as he walked away. Sabine snickered.

"Should we try the door?" I asked.

"Wouldn't hurt to check before following him again," she replied. We both tried to open the door, but it was sealed tightly.

"If we hurry, we can still catch up to him," Sabine said. At that moment four people in orange jumpsuits turned the corner. One of them was Kanan. The other three were kids who looked like they were Ezra's age. Kanan rushed up to us fists raised.

"Hold it Kanan!" I said loudly. "It's just us." I took off my helmet and Sabine did the same. Kanan lowered his fists.

"Where's the Inquisitor?" Kanan asked.

"He just left a few moments ago. We were trying to get into this cell," Sabine explained.

"Ezra's in there," the girl said.

"Who are the kids?" I asked Kanan.

"Conner, Kaz, and Kimble. They're friends of Ezra's. Kimble can sense Ezra's location by using a mental link they share," Kanan explained while examining the door.

"You mean Ezra's on the other side of this door?" I asked.

"Yep," Conner said.

"Wow," Kaz said. "Ezra's got some scary friends."

"I can be a lot scarier," I growled. Kanan took a step back and extended his hand. The door rattled for a moment before slowly opening.

We were in.
