Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been updating. I've been working in this one part, and I promise it will be ready soon!!! For now,  it's almost a new year!! This year has been a great year too, with the release of Winter and everything! But there's plenty of stuff to look forward to next year! Like the release of Stars Above and Heartless!

So anyway, I wrote this little fanfiction to celebrate the New Year (and Wolflet) and to honor the years that have passed. But also to let go of things that have dragged you down this past year. It's a New Year, and today is never too late to be brand new! (Taylor Swift quote, sorry I had to😄)

This is not at all a part of the story, I just wrote this for you guys! (Please don't kill me if I write French wrong, I don't really know how to write or speak it. I just know a few things about French New Years because I did a project on it for school. If any of you know how to correct my French I would really appreciate if!😋)

Have a Great New Year!!🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊

~Maddy!😍

Scarlet was washing the dishes when her port screen lit up with Cinder's name. She curiously scrunched up her eyebrows and dried her sopping wet hands on her jeans, accepting the comm.

Cinder's face appeared on the screen, smug as usual, unusually clean.

"Hey Scarlet, how's Earth?"

Scarlet ignored the question and squinted past Cinder and at her surroundings.

Cinder must have noticed and laughed. "Oh yah. Since the moon doesn't really celebrate New Years, we thought we'd have a little celebration."

Cinder adjusted her portscreen so that she was not on camera and Scarlet could see what was happening on Luna.

They were in what looked like Cinder's bedroom, bolts and tools scattered on the desk and bed. That was the most normal part though.

Blue and white streamers were taped to the curtains, red lanterns hung from the bedposts, and confetti littered the floor. Dance music blared throughout the room and Scarlet felt like she had to shout over it to speak. The room looked like a complete mess.

Scarlet widened her eyes and laughed at the sight. "Stars, you guys really know how to party."

Cinder turned the portscreen to face her again and nodded. "Yah, it would surprise you how entertaining a party planned by royalty and wanted fugitives would be."

A sarcastic grin spread across her lips and Scarlet didn't even flinch when she pulled up her cyborg hand and made a "cuckoo" sign by twirling it near her ear.

"We decided that since the moon doesn't really celebrate the New Year we would combine all of our cultures and have a big party. In America, Thorne hung up the streamers and in New Beijing we hung up red lanterns."

Scarlet gasped and glanced at the clock beside her. It was only 17:00. She could still plan a New Years celebration for Wolf. Many towns in France held a ball to celebrate, but Rioux wasn't like that. Scarlet would make her own fun thing. "I almost forgot about New Years! Aces, all the things we've accomplished this past year and now we have to start all over."

Suddenly Thorne's face appeared on the screen. His eyes lit up and a grin spread across his face as he blew a party horn obnoxiously at the screen.

"Is that Scarlet? I could recognize that French accent anywhere!"

Scarlet rolled her and eyes and crossed her arms across her chest. She had forgotten that Thorne and Cress had gone to visit Cinder for a few days after their travels around the world, curing letumosis. And hadn't she heard something about Kai heading up there to suggest another alliance?
