When I opened the door to see that it wasnt Scarlett at the door but instead it was Aiden, I was shocked.

What could he possibly be doing here? What does he wanna say to me? What was I gonna say to him?

I guess he could tell I was lost in my own thoughts. So, he said, "can I come in? We have to talk."

I let him in and he sat down on the couch. I asked him if he wanted anything to eat or drink, and he told me no. That he was fine.

I sat down in a chair nearby, and waited for him to tell me whatever it was that he wanted to tell me.

He looked up and said, "so...what happened yesterday.. Is that why you stayed home from school today? And please don't lie to me."

I looked back at him and said, "yeah. I wasn't sure how you felt about what happened, and I wast sure how I felt about it either. So I just decided to skip"

"That's what I figured", he said. That's when he came over to me and took my hand. He looked up at me, making eye contact. Damn him with those eyes of his. I could stare into those all day long if it was aloud.

"I know that you have trust issues because of your real dad, and because of what happened with Cole. I am just here to tell you that you CAN trust me. I am here for you for whatever you want or need. I really care about you Kaylee. I really do. I want us to be together. I want to be able to tell everybody that your mine, and that I'm yours. I don't know how you feel about me. If you don't feel the same way that I feel I will still be here, as your friend, but if you do feel the same, I think we should try dating"

I didn't know what to say. I liked him, but did I wanna date him and risk ruining our friendship?

I wouldn't know what to do if we were no longer friends.

I looked him straight in the eyes and said, "I wanna be friends. Your friendship means the world to me. You have been one of the best friends to me. I wouldn't wanna risk ruining that, but just so you know, I do like you."

He was thinking about what to say next. "I really like you Kaylee, and you just said that you like me. If I promise you that we will still be friends, no matter what happens, would you date me?"

Just by looking at him I could tell he was nervous. It was written all over his face. In his eyes, I could see that he was hopeful that I would be his girlfriend.

He is an amazing guy, who is an amazing friend, AND wants to date me. I would be crazy to not date him.

"Yes. I would." I told him.

He smiled widely and said, "I will ALWAYS be your friend Kaylee. I would be crazy if I ever let that go. Will you please be my girlfriend?"

I looked him in the eyes, and said, "yes"
