We had been waiting for a hours just at the edge of a clearing to a big open field. Dusk was now approaching and the moon was already up. Tonight a full moon. Thank god. We would all have to be in wolf form if we where going to talk to the vampires. We would all be safer. I was sat on a rock with Dimitri, my head resting on his shoulders. His head resting on mine. Time passed and the moon was now full. Suddenly my ears picked up the sound of foot steps. I looked at Dimitri and we began sniffing the air. "Vampires". We both turned to each other and said it at the same time. "Hey everyone their coming take of you moonlight rings put them into this bag". Everyone handed me their moonlight rings and placed them into the bag. I carefully and quietly stashed them away under a rock. Once everyone was in wolf form we walked out I to the middle of the field.

We stood facing them in silence. We where out number by twelve bodies. There was twenty four of us and thirty six of them. It was the vampire at the front who spoke first.

"Where are they? The littler of six there are not hear and where are your alfas? I would like to speak with them!"

"You are speaking to she, I am the Crescents pack alfa, I defeated my mother in combat and then my sister back down". My sister bowed her head, playing along. "How is it that your farther didn't object to this?"

"You know wolf law defeat either of the alfas and you become one, you do no have to defeat both". The vampire looked at me suspiciously, but he new this rule was true. "I would like that litter of six and for them I'm going to offer you a deal". He paused and I raised my head. "Them in exchange for your packs freedom, we will no longer follow you". I waited, pretending to consider his deal but I already knew my answer. "No! Wolves do not a bond members of their pack I will not give you them!"

"And in doing so you have sentenced your pack to death!"

"Attacked!" Shouted Dimitri. "No!" I screamed. Every stopped where they where and I place my self in front of them once more. "We do not want to fight you, we want peace between our species, we have put the passed behind us, now please stop this, save the lives of your people, put an end to this".

"Not until you give us what we want, the six or we will kill you all".

"I said we didn't want to fight not that we wouldn't fight so I'm giving you one last chance step down or, you will be killed".

"We will not step down!" I new he wasn't going to back down. I looked at Alex who looked at me and nodded. She came forward and handed me my cloak. I didn't want to have to do this but they left me no choice. No one knew what I was about to do. I turned to Dimitri and gave him a quick kiss. He looked worried and confused, seeing Alex nod and me and me smile back at her sadly. "Wait here, that's an order". They all spoke at once, but did as I had told them. I ignored all of their questions.

Slowly I began to walk towards the vampire Alex along side me. He looked at me curiously as I stood in front of him motionless and silent. Slowly Alex slipped my necklace off, over my head and draped my cloak over me. A few seconds later I was human again. She handed me my necklace and I tuck into my cloak pocket. "Thank you, I am very grate full for you help but to have you here is to put you in danger so I'm asking you to leave". She bowed her head all the while playing along, doing what I told her. "I told you I do not wish to fight, I am willing to do whatever it takes for you to grant me and my pack freedom, so I'm going to tell you my deal now". He nodded agreeing to listen. "You have two choices fight and die or kill me and leave the rest of my pack alone for good including the six". This I said in my head so none of the wolves could hear. He looked up into my eyes, trying to determine if I was being serious. I turned, my mother and farther and the rest of the pack had arrived. My mother and farther had took their places at the front of the pack. I could hear them talking. "What's going on?" my mother asked. "We don't know she won't let us into her head". Dimitri answered worry ringing throughout his voice. I turned facing back towards the vampire.
"Well?" I said, out loud this time. I didn't get a verbal answer because the next thing I knew everything was black...
