Kookie and I enter class and a serious but excited look is on my face. "There he is." I tell to the person beside me, referring to the guy with orange-hair who has his head down. We approach him without hesitance, as I carefully poke his biceps to wake him up. Oh.
Jungkook rubs his head while we wait for a response from Jimin. It's a good thing nobody else is in the classroom, since it's still early. After a few moments, his head finally jerks up. His eyes flatter beautifully in my sight and I immediately remove my hand off from him.
"G-Good morning, Jiminah." I greet shyly as Jungkook just waves his right hand.
"What do you want?" Jimin asks rather angrily, which causes me to get startled.
"Is something wrong?" I ask back with a hint of concern. Why is he acting like this? Did I disturb his beauty sleep? Possibly. But we were fine yesterday.
"Yeah, I do. You are." he answers and picks up his bagpack, heading straight to the door and leaving us both.
I stare in complete mortification, until I hear Jungkook's silly ass laugh. I shoot him a glare, but he doesn't stop. "And I thought you guys were friends now. How nice." he says, continuing to cackle.
I smack his shoulder and glare at him once again. "It's my fault for making him angry."
"Well obviously, Einstein. You were poking him like a dick teasing a vagi-"
I smack him again before he could say anything else. This is one of the many... many reasons why I chose Jimin over him. Jungkook is sometimes a kid to me, and I don't wanna date a kid.
"Let's just go find him so we could apologize for disrupting."
"Why am I included? You go apologize yourself." he says, pushing me away with his rather large hands.
I stumble a bit. "Come on, Kookie. I'll treat you to lunch today."
"Well, if you buy me Timberlands then I'll-"
"No. You haven't even given me money to buy mine, yet!" I point out.
"That's because we haven't proven if Jimin has a girlfriend yet!" he says, mimicking my voice.
"You're so mean, Kookie."
"No, I'm not. I just hate being the loser of an argument."
"Close enough."
.
.Every morning, I notice that Jimin usually stays at the back of the school where there is a large, grassy field everywhere. If not in the classroom, that's the place where he takes a nap before the bell rings. Maybe he's there, I say in thought, quickly heading to the desired area.
Jackpot. He is.
His eyes are tightly shut as the warm air blows his hair in every direction. The sunlight is also hitting his skin and toned arms. Beside him are the books for our first periods.
I quietly make my way over, avoiding to wake him up. I was going to apologize for a while ago, but I guess now is not the right time. He might end up really getting mad at me.
I sit on a spot not too far nor near him as I lie down. I look up at the blue sky. Have you ever wondered why the sky is blue? Okay, what am I saying? I close my eyes for a moment, before letting myself engulf the comforting atmosphere.
Suddenly, my phone rings an undoubtedly loud tone, causing me to be shaken awake. As I look up, I notice that Jimin has also been disturbed. I mentally curse to myself, but I answer the phone nonetheless. "Yes?"
"[Name]-ah, where are you? Class is about to start in a matter of minutes."
"The bell hasn't even rung yet! Now shut your pipe hole and-"
"You again?" Jimin interrupts me.
"I gotta go, bye." I tell on Kookie, hanging up. I look at Jimin with a stilted smile, but he's just grimacing. "Jimin-ah, you finally woke up. Class is about to start."
"And what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to say sorry for earlier. I didn't mean to interrupt your sleep."
"Well you interrupted it again. Thanks a lot. What was your name?"
"[Name]."
"[Name]," he says. "Can you stop following me around? I get you're starting to feel attached because I walked you home yesterday, but that's no big deal. I walk people all the time when I'm bored, so it's not a sign of kindness. Now if you may excuse me, I have a class to attend." He grabs his books and leaves me alone in the grassy fields.
I watch him until his presence disappears in the crowd of people heading to their respective classes. I sigh in frustration, running a hand across my hair. I pick up a piece of grass that has been stuck into it while I was lying down.
"Why do I always mess things up?"
.
.I fork a piece of meat and put it inside my mouth. Usually, Korean beef tastes so good, but now it just tastes like sadness. I let out a big sigh, when a hand places itself on my shoulder, causing me to jerk my head up.
"What's with the long face?" dad asks, his eyebrows slightly followed.
"Ani. It's nothing. I'm just feeling tired." I lie, putting another meat in my mouth.
He removes his hand off. "Is it boy problems?"
My eyes widen for a second, before they return back to normal. "No."
"Come on, [Name]." dad says with a whiny voice. "I know that look. Your grandmother used to have the same expression when she's having problems with dad. I'm not a woman, but I'll try to help you."
"It's okay." Dad looks at me in the eyes for a moment before he stands up from his seat. Uh-oh. "Where are you going, appa?"
"I will call Jungkook so he can lend you some love advice. He used to like you a lot, right? I'm sure he can help you by sharing his feelings."
I messed up again.
