My father the butler and my mother the time traveler (black butler fan-fic)

Chapter 2

Max's pov.

          I opened the door because my father was busy. i was a little shocked when i opened the door because standing there was my mother with a girl that looked a little like uncle Ciel but only a year or two older then he was. Mother looked pretty bad but not as bad as the little girl who had a hand over her left eye and was in a torn, thin dress that looked like it was getting to small for her and she had been in it for a while. Mother was covered in blood and it looked like she might have been shot or stabbed a few times but there was a small part of her dress that was spotless and the way this girl was holding my mother told me that it was where the girl was when hidden from everything that happened."Maxwell who is it?" Father asks from behind me and i turn a little to look at him before looking back over at my mother who was giving me that look that said to open the door right that minute.  Mother puts her right hand on the girls back pushing her throw the door before following her silently. "Selene?" Father asks when they were both in the room but she still hadn't said a word just walked to the stairs. "Mother?" i ask and they both stop before mother looks at me. "Max i'm alright. i need to get Abigale cleaned up and in a new dress." she says before the girl clings tighter to my mother.

       "i will get out a dress for her once she is done with her bath." Father says leaving no room for us to argue with him. i close the door before turning to look over at the children i was supoes to be watching who were now holding onto their mother's dress. Father watches mother closely before turning a little to look over at the guest. "i'm sorry about that. perhaps you would be so kind as to come back in a week or two so we can finish our conversation then." he says as he looks them over. the woman looks over at me then up at where my mother had disapered before looking at my father. "your right Sebastian. perhaps next time we could have a ball for the children." she says and father gives her a smile that was so fake it was scarry. Father leads them over to the door before opening it for them and they leave. once they were gone he turns to look at me then up to where mother had gone. "Maxwell i need you to go tell your uncle that your mother is back but she has someone with her. i'm going to go check on your mother and get a clean dress for that girl." he says before walking up to where mother was. i sigh before walking to uncle Ciel's study or where i thought it was because this house was big and a little confusing.

         i finally find the study and walk in. "Sebastian if Elizabeth is still here then..... ohhh Max is something wrong?" uncle Ciel says when he looks up at me. "mother is back and has a little girl with her. i don't really know what is going on but father went to check on mother and then i don't really know what is going to happen." i say before running a hand throw my hair. uncle Ciel stands up before walking over to me. "we will have to wait for them to come down." uncle Ciel says before looking around the room. we stand there for what feel like forever before father walks into the room shaking his head a little. "Sebastian what is going on?" uncle Ciel asks as he looks over at my father. "Selene will come down with the girl in a few minutes to explain things to us but i don't really want the others to hear because that girl is the one who made a contract with Selene." father says before giving a small sigh.  uncle Ciel looked a little uneasy but soon relaxed a little before looking away from my father. i don't know what just happened but i didn't dare ask. "Sebastian why don't you start dinner or tea for our guest and Max and i will head to the dinning room." uncle Ciel says before grabbing my arm and leading me out behind himself and my father. when we get to the dinning room i stand next to uncle Ciel and not to long after that mother walked down with the little girl who's hair was pulled back into a bun and she had an eye patch over her left eye. she looked really cute in that blue/green dress but she was still clinging to my mother like her life depended on it.

Selene's pov.

           i took a quick bath before giving Abigale one. she had been really quiet and i think she was still a little in shock. "Selene why are we here?" Abigale asks as she looks up at me with big eyes. "young mistress this is my home and your a Phantomhive so this is your home as well." i say and she frowns at my words. "Selene call me Abby or by my name not young mistress." Abby says before i start to wash her hair. "alright Abby but i have to call you my lady in front of others. it's what is expected of me because of your position." i say. once we were done i put Abby in the blue/green dress that Sebastian had gotten for me and i change into a black dress that matched the style of Sebastian's butler attire. we walk down to the dinning room knowing that Sebastian would have food or tea ready by now. "what's going on?" Abby whispers as she holds onto my dress as we walked down. "my lady we are going to the dinning room for tea or dinner. i'm going to introduce you to the head of this house and he should let you live here." i say in a soft motherly tone that i used when Max was younger. she was quiet after that and we walk into the dinning room only to see that Ciel was sitting down with Max standing next to him. Max was looking my young mistress up and down as if admiring her because she was young. i pull out a chair for Abby and she sits but grabs my arm so i can't walk to far from her. Sebastian walks in wheeling the dining cart that had food on it. "Selene i wasn't sure what your young mistress would want so i made something simple." Sebastian says.
