I leaned closer to him "you sure you don't have feelings for me Koga?" His blush deepened before he scooted over to create more distance between us. "Positive cause I'm in love with Kagome." I nodded my head "that's ok I just came here to see if you remembered what happened when I was little any way," but I could feel a twinge in my heart but I don't know why. I left the cave soon after and decided to find a different place to spend the night. It wasn't long till I met up with Sesshomaru and the little girl from before . I walked over to them and sat beside the girl and turned to Sesshomaru. "I wish to travel with you for moment." He looked at me then nodded without saying a word. I smiled to my self feeling safe and protected for the first time. But the feeling did not last for Sesshomaru stood and left me, the girl, and an imp behind. I sighed and looked at the imp. "What is your name imp?" He turned to me and in an annoyingly loud voice said he is Jaken. I nodded and then turned my attention to the girl. "And you are?" She smiled "Rin's name is Rin." I smiled "I am Nina now Rin you should get some rest I suspect Sesshomaru will be back by morning." She nodded and curled up beside me. After a few minutes Rin started to stir in her sleep from a nightmare. I started brushing her hair with my fingers and singing to her. " come stop your crying it will be alright just take my hand hold it tight, I will protect you from all around you, I will be here don't you cry. For one so small you seem so strong my arms will hold you keep you safe and warm this bond between us can't be broken, I will be here don't you cry." I stopped and saw she had been soothed and is now sleeping peacefully. Jaken looked at me in shock. "How did you do that?" I shrugged "it's a song my mother used to sing to me when I was little." And with that I laid back and pretended to sleep. After a few minutes I could hear Jaken's snoring and opened my eyes again. Staring at the stars I thought about the feeling I got when Koga said he loves Kagome and compared it to the feeling of protection I get around Sesshomaru but coming up with no answer I sighed in frustration but heard a twig snap nearby. I looked in the direction of the sound to see Sesshomaru standing there. "Sleep." Was all he said but I understood that he ment I could sleep because he will stand watch. I nodded in gratitude and slowly fell asleep.
