*OLIVIA'S POV*

Virginia should have been here by now. There were only fifteen minutes until we were supposed to be at the carnival.

My thoughts were interrupted with a knock on the door to my flat. I hopped off my sofa and grabbed my mobile, stuffing it into my jean pockets.

"Coming!" I shouted, I hoped Olivia could hear me as I turned off my TV and turned off all the lights in my flat.

I threw open the front door and was met with the face of an angel. Wait, who said that?

"Olivia?" Niall asked, sounding and looking as surprised as I was.

"The one and only!" I replied. Oh god, here he is at my flat and I'm making a fool out of myself.

I stepped out of my flat and closed the door behind me.

"Shall we get going now?" Niall asked, his hands messing with the hem of his shirt.

"I suppose."

We walked away from my flat and into the empty lift and the lift was filled with a silence. Not quite an awkward silence, it was comfortable.

"Um. So why isn't Virginia here?" I asked. "Not that I mind you being here, but she told me she was going to pick me up."

"Uh well I don't know why she didn't come. But she asked me to pick up one of her friends and meet her at the carnival."

I had originally thought that tonight was going to be a girls night between Olivia and I. Although it goes against my original thoughts, I was secretly glad that Niall agreed to come along.

Our short conversation was broken by the ding of the lift. We had arrived on the main floor and stepped out of the lift and into the lobby of my building.

Suddenly Niall spoke up, "I parked pretty far away. Do you want me to go get the car and pick you up out front?"

"Yeah I guess so." I shrugged.

Niall ran out toward the parking lot and disappeared from my view. Three minutes later, a black Range Rover appeared in front of the building and Niall got out of the drivers side.

Walking towards the car, I was met with a gust of chilly air, making me shiver.

"Are you cold?" Niall asked, starting to take off his jacket.

"Yeah. A bit. I should have brought a jacket." I chuckled as Niall wrapped his jacket around my shoulders.

Niall opened the passenger door for me and helped me into the car. What a gentlemen.

"Thank you." I smiled as Niall sat in the drivers seat and started the ignition.

As we started the twenty minute drive to the carnival Niall spoke up, "I'm sorry for being so late to pick you up. Virginia sent me the address but I got lost anyways." He chuckled as he was still focused on the road ahead of us.

"I don't mind. I just wish she would have let me know that you would be picking me up." I flashed a grin, trying to make my flirting less obvious.

Fifteen minutes later, we pulled into the parking lot of the local carnival and met up with Virginia and Harry at the entrance.

"Hey! Glad you could make it!" Virginia exclaimed, pulling me into a hug.

I slid her a sly smile. "Mhm. Virginia, I'm gonna need to have a chat with you in a bit." I whispered into her ear.

"Aww. What did I do?" She smiled, obviously knowing exactly what she did.
