15. What even is a family?

• Dale's POV•

I'm sitting at my house watching TV and all of a sudden I hear a howl.

I jump up and look for my phone, I call Malikai but it goes straight to voice mail

"DUDE, I don't know why THE FUCK YOURE NOT ANSWERING but TSUBAKI IS IN FUCKING TROUBLE"

I ran out of my house grabbing my keys and storming to my car

•Malikai's POV•

I'm in my Range Rover with the boys and my phone rings. It's Dale. I click ignore and look at the boys.

"I have a bad feeling" Tyler says.

My phone buzzes and it's a voicemail from Dale. I play it.

"DUDE, I don't know why THE FUCK YOURE NOT ANSWERING but TSUBAKI IS IN FUCKING TROUBLE".

I look at Michael pained and Michael gives me a look of "step on the fucking gas now".

I do as told and go towards I heard the howl.

•Tsubaki's POV•

I look around the room to see Yukai and Ray standing in front of me.

"Look who finally woke up!" Yukai pats my head hard.

I growl, "what ever the fuck you guys want from me, get it over with now. I'm sick of playing this game. You guys didn't even care about mom and the fact that you caused her to commit suicide." Tears welling up in my eyes from a flashback of the news, "you are worthless animals that don't deserve a life. I should have killed you when I had the chance and you should've never been born". I say quickly.

"Wow, she is mouthy, I didn't even know" Ray says to Yukai.

"It's okay sweetie, he'll be here shortly".

My heart drops, I whimper and begin to quietly cry.

"Oh shut the fuck up". Yukai says before he knocks me out again.

I'm definitely going to have a major concussion after this.

•Malikai's POV•

I pull up to the warehouse that I can feel Tsubaki is in, and I see Dale looking at me through the window, slightly angered. He storms over to the car after we all get out.

"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE PAST WEEK AND A HALF?! TSUBAKI WAS SO WORRIED AND IN THE WORST PAIN." He screams in a whisper.

"Did you know she's a wolfgodess?! Her brother Yukai has been at war with our family and we had to keep our distance if we wanted to live!" I whisper back.

"Oh so you're saying you're scared of Romeo and Juliet? You're so pathetic. Tsubaki loves you and I know you love her too. So don't you fucking bail out on her. She doesn't deserve that. You either win this war or you die trying. Are you ready?" Dale lectures me. But he's actually right. I love her too much to let her go.

I look at the guys and nod. Were doing this no matter how scared we can get. As long as we don't show it.

I began to smell a strong scent of blood and I look at Dale, eyes yin yang and his expression was extremely worried. I Panic and run out of the car super speed only to have Tyler stopped in front of me.

"we don't know what were going against, " he says with a stern look

I whimper "she needs a hospital. We need to give it our all"

We get to the door and all I can smell is blood and tears. I hear Tsubaki's whimpers and my heart breaks a little.

"SHUT UP YOU FUCKING WHORE, " all of a sudden there's a gunshot and Tsubaki's Screams.

I burst through the door to see Yukai and Ray standing beside Tsubaki as she's trembling in pain. My eyes turn red as I begin to plot both of their deaths within seconds.

We all lunge toward Yukai and Ray, forming into wolves, attempting to tear their flesh off of their bodies, but they don't go down easy. Ray scratches the floor in anger of his plan failing before his eyes. Yukai howls and 4 other wolves burst through the for behind us. I lunge towards Tsubaki in in attempt to get her away from the blood bath about to happen.

I suddenly get tackled in the other direction and Rays muzzle trying to rip my face off. I dig my nails into his ribs and snaps three, kicking him off of me. He whimpers and stalks off but I snap his neck before he could get away. I look around and see 2 of the wolves on the floor and 2 going after Michael and Baxton. I jump on one and Dale follows my lead with the other, we tear flesh from their necks and then snap their necks.

All we have left is Yukai.

We all begin to back him into a corner. Dale lunges at him and scratches his face. Yukai pushes him back. Dale crawling behind us, we began to lunch at him all at once. He whimpers in pain as we break bones tear flesh and scratch his face, when his eyes turn yin yang, I brought baking over to jump on his head.

Tsubaki looks at me with her face beat up, bruises everywhere. Her eye has a cut from being punched too many times. Her eyes still faintly yin yang, I whimper and super speed her to a hospital.

•Tsubaki's POV•

I feel weak. Lifeless but comfortable. I can't think of the mess I was born into. Although I'm really curios what they wanted with me, I'm glad my senseless beating is over. I wish I was able to fight back. I'm so weak and useless.

I wake up in the hospital, I barely move my head and I swear my eyes are open but I see half darkness. I raise my hand up to feel my eye... Swelled. I feel a small bandaid underneath my eye. I look at my arms, bruises everywhere. I look towards the window and see Malikai passed out in the visitors chair.

I hear the door open and see a tall male with dark brown hair and blue eyes with a chary. Relieved its my doctor, I have to ask, "how long was I out for? "

Startled to hear me break silence, he responds. "a week and a half. "

"how long has he been here?", I ask referring to Malikai.

"first thing Visitors hours started and ended. Every day. From 3:30 am to 9:30 pm. Seems like the poor guy hasn't even moved or eaten."

"oh, " I say in a bit of shock. "thank you"
