The Prowl

Chapter 4- The Secret Boyfriend.

When Monday rolled around again, I had gotten ready for school. I didn't feel like dressing up so I just wore sweatpants and a Fall Out Boy t-shirt.

The doorbell rang but I hesitated to see who it was.

I rushed to the door and looked through the peephole.

Malikai?

I opened the door to meet those emerald eyes. I can drown in them and never come back.

"Hey, are you ready?" he asked snapping me from my thoughts.

"Ready for what?"

"Ready for school. I'm giving you a ride."

"Oh. Yea let me grab my things and lock up." I said grabbing my keys.

We walked out of the house and he went to the passenger side to open the door of his Wrangler. Then went to his side and hopped in.

"I don't mean to make you uncomfortable, but why did you run away on Friday? oh! did Zack tell you what he was supposed to tell you?" I had asked shyly.

"I ran away because I was going to make a mistake if I didn't. And yes Zack told me you still love me even though you don't remember much about us."

Silence filled the car.

"Do you five want to hang out tonight?" I practically blurted out.

"Just the six of us?" he had asked.

"Well Dale too If you want."

"I'll see if the guys want to."

We pulled into the school parking lot. He parked in student parking and got out of the car with me.

"Hey, you okay?" Malikai asked me.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." I lied.

"No you're not." He said pushing me against the wall gently.

"How can you tell?" I tried to show no emotion on my face.

"Tsubaki, I know almost everything about you, I used to date you, and dating you gave me the power to read you like a book. Right now I know there's something on your mind that's bothering you."

Holy fuck he's psychic.

"I'll tell you later. I have to get to 1st period." I said walking off.

"When's later?" he shouted.

"After school maybe." I shouted back and made it into the school.

The day was finally over and I was walking over to Malikai's car.

"It's later." Malikai said putting a hand on my side.

"It's not bothering me anymore." I said forgetting what Malikai told me this morning.

"'Baki, you need to tell me. I know how you feel most of the time." He told me getting in the car.

"Well, it's just, why did Shawn take away my memories? I don't even know how I loved you then but I want to do it again." I said turning my head to look out the window.

Malikai grabbed my face, looked me straight in the eye, and kissed my forehead.

"Tsubaki Nujitsu Okami, you may have loved me then, but now, I feel your love more than ever." After Malikai said that, I realized our foreheads were touching.

Before I knew it, Malikai planted a soft kiss on my lips. I broke the kiss. Getting out of Malikai's hold. I got out of the car and started walking home.
