At MAINE Facility
(Y/N) blinked, looking up at a plain white ceiling above her. She reconized the surface under her. She let out a long, collective groan.
"How many times will I wake up strapped to a gurney?" She mumbled to herself, "This is probably the 20th time."
"This marks the 87th time you have woken up like this." a voice behind her said. (Y/N) looked over to see her brother coming over to her.
"Hello Lightstorm." He said, standing by her side.
"My name is (Y/N). If you would adress me by the name I was born with."
"You passed initiantion, that means your name is now Lightstorm." (Y/N) gave a low growl.
"Oh, no need to get grumpy. Besides, I'm not here to talk about your name, I'm here to talk to you about something concerning your friends." This comment left (Y/N) struggling against her restraints.
"What have you done with them?" (Y/N) inquried frightfully.
"Nothing yet, they are at their Tower, fretting over how to save you." At this, (Y/N) gave a sigh of relief. So they didn't have her friends.
"You know, I was suprised to learn that you didn't tell them about your wonderful family. I thought that was one of those 'good guys' things where you cannot lie."
"You told them what I did?"
"Well some of it. Your dark friend Raven will explain the rest to them. You should have seen their faces when they found out. It was priceless!" Scorch chuckled. (Y/N) shuddered at the thought of her friends faces when they found out. She decided to change the topic.
"Why am I here?"
"Because the doctors and scientists want to finish what they started. You were the start of something great, something that could revolutionize mind control."
"So I'm back at MAINE then?"
"That would be correct."
(Y/N) felt like crying. After all those years of pain, she thought she left that world behind, but now she was back. She hoped the Titans would find a way to get her out.
"Well, I must get going. Got to make some final preperations before we begin the tests." With that, He walked briskly out of the small room, slamming the steel door shut behind him.
At the Tower
Everyone was looked at Raven. They wanted answers and they knew she held them.
"I told you, I promised!" Raven exclaimed.
"You need to tell us!" Cyborg demanded.
"She can tell you herself when we rescue her." Raven replied.
"Yeah! We need to get on that. Raven, what do you know about this place called MAINE, is it the state?" Robin inquired. He still seemed down about (Y/N), but was stronger with devotion to get her back.
"It is not the state, it is a medical facitility. MAINE stands for Medical Association Invested in Nerology Experimentation." Most of them didn't seem to understand those big words, but Robin did.
"They took her to a mind control facility?"
"Yeah," Raven answered gloomily, "they are going to turn her into a mindless drone for them to do what ever they want with." The Titans faces showed utter disbelief and horror.
"Let's find every facilty that could be MAINE and narrow down the search." said Robin, suddenly taking the lead. The Titans split up to prepare. After everyone else had left, Star pulled Raven aside and asked if this had anything to do with Jynx. Raven sighed, "Yes. It does have a little to do with her, but it is very complicated." With that, Raven flew off to her room.
MAINE facility
(Y/N) had been released from her gurney and was free to walk around her blank and boring cell. It wasn't long before her brother came to bring her to her nightmares. While they were walking down the countless hallways to the operating rooms, (Y/N) asked a few questions.
"I already escaped from here once. I can do it again!" Scorch gave a chuckle at this statement. They both knew was an empty threat.
"If you hadn't realized already, we let you go. We unlocked your doors and told all the gaurds to keep away. We wanted to see how well you would do in modern society." (Y/N) was shocked to hear this.
"But, I ran deep into the woods. How did you find me there?" She aked.
"Do you know how long you slept that day?" (Y/N) shook her head.
"You slept for fourty-eight hours after that ordeal. That gave us more then enough time to find you. We also gave you a new tracker implant before we let you go." Scorch said casually.
"You put a tracker in me!" (Y/N) voice was in utter suprise and disbelief.
"You are rather slow"
"Then why did you pull me out of society?"
"Because you had joined the Teen Titans and they have cause much havoc to this organization over the years."
"That's not all"
"No, it seemed as if you were getting awefully close to that Robin fellow and we thought you might tell him some of your secrets. To counter this, we sent Slade out with a new form of mind control to turn you away from him and the Titans. This plan failed horribly and made you even closer to the Titans. As a last resort, they sent me out to retrive you."
"What happened to Slade?"
"He was punished for his failure and is spending his days in the dungeon." With that, they had reached the operating room. (Y/N) looked up at her brother with fear in her eyes.
"What are you going to do to me?"
"Well, we are going to patch up some more of your wounds, install a new tracker, fix that nasty cut on the back of your head, and inject the new mind syrum." (Y/N) gulped and looked at the door.
"This is going to hurt a lot, isn't it?" She asked, close to tears.
"Umm... yeah." And with that, he pulled something from his pocket and stuck it in her neck. (Y/N) gave a small shriek of pain before she passed out.
