Chapter 11: Happy Reunion

Jackson.

That's all I can think about.

I've finally found him.

That's all I see.

Jackson. Suspended in the air unconscious.

I can't see his pretty brown eyes. His checks became more shallower like he hasn't eaten in a while. His skin pale. He doesn't look himself. Yet I can't take my eyes off him. He's mine, I've finally found him. Only one thing stands in my way, the Seelie Queen.

According to my dream, if I challenge her then I'll end up dead.

"Nathan," I whisper, I'm not even sure if he can hear me.

"Yes?" I guess he did.

"Is he dead?" Please say he isn't.

"No but he's on the verge of dying," He tells me. It's both good and bad news.

"What do I need to do to save him?" I haven't taken my eyes off Jackson.

"I cannot tell you what to do for you have to figure it out on your own."

Jackson, I try to mind link him.

There's still a wall of blackness that's blocking me from reaching him.

Jackson, I try again and add power to it.

The wall went away a little bit. I could see his eyes move a little like he wants to wake up.

Jackson, this time I add all my power. All my love I have for him. All the sorrow I went through while he was gone. All the pain. All the happiness he makes me have while I'm with him. Everything.

The wall breaks.

His eyes snap open and search for me. We make eye contact. His love for me drifts into me making me feel like I'm on cloud nine. It's just me and him in the world. I've saved him. He's finally mine again. He's my mate, my everything.

Something sharp pierces my leg. I hear Jackson yell out at me.

Phia takes over for me. She guides through the battle to face the Seelie Queen. I don't feel anything. All I know is that I saved him.

Phia lets me come back to my human body and I see the Seelie Queen lying on the ground dead.

All around I hear the sound of howls. Happy howls. The kind of howls that means they got their Alpha back.

Alpha.

Jackson!

I leap up and twirl around trying to find him.

At last I lock on to the most familiar eyes I know. The ones that tell me I'm safe with him. The ones that make my feel weak. The ones that make me feel like I have butterflies in my stomach. They belong to Jackson.

I run straight to him. Everyone made a path for me like they knew they'd get hurt really badly if they were in my way. His arms were open wide. I ran right into them and they wrapped around me tight like they never want to let go of me. I missed hugging him like this.

"Jackson..." I whisper. Finally I can say his name without feeling like I lost him.

"Sophia, you came," He tilts my chin up to him and kisses me softly and gentle like I'm fragile. "You're bleeding," he says in between kisses.

"Hmm?" That's all I can say.

He stops kissing me and touches my leg. I forgot about that.

"It's alright," I try to keep kissing him.

"But you need to get it looked at. It could get infected," his voice is full of worry.

"It's fine," I still try to kiss him.

"Babe I-" he looks up suddenly. I see protectiveness deep in his eyes. I take a glance behind me to see that the Seelie Queen was still alive. Jackson moves me behind him.

"No Jackson she'll-" before I can finish my sentence, the Seelie Queen threw something at Jackson and went right through his heart.

I lost him.

Sorry for that tragic ending. This story is gonna be short, im still gonna have a couple chapters after this.
