Pretty Boy

The Yeager Household

"God mom stop!" Eren yelled coming to the door.

"Hi Eren." Levi said, back to being friendly. "May I come in?" Eren nodded eagerly and he led Levi upstairs to where he kept all of his manga.

"So did you tell your mom about me?" Levi asked in an amused tone.

"Uhg. No I told her a boy named Levi was stopping to borrow some books. That's all." Eren lied again, pretending like he had not told his mom all about the mysterious boy.

"Too bad." Levi sounded disappointed.

Eren was confused by his response so he changed the conversation entirely. "What was your text about? You said thank you?"

"Yes" Levi said "thank you for starting the rumor. I've been trying to end things with Petra since they began but sometimes in certain situations people need to do things they aren't proud of. That, and she's the most persistent person I've ever met."

Eren was only getting more confused. "Don't worry about it kid I'm sure you'll get what I'm saying one day." Levi reassured him.

"Could he get any more confusing?" Eren wondered while walking over to his brown book shelves.

"Your room is kind of a mess." Levi judged.

Eren rolled his eyes and picked up the whole series Levi wanted to borrow. "Here." Was all he said as he tried to hand over the stack. Levi grabbed volumes three and four from the top.

"You didn't want to borrow the rest?" Eren asked.

"Of course I do." Levi admitted. "If I borrow them all at once I don't have an excuse to come over again.

Eren smiled widely. Could it be that he made a new friend with the most popular boy in his school? Eren expected Levi to head home once he got the manga but to his surprise Levi sat down on Eren's bed and began to flip through volume three.

"I really like him." Levi said, pointing to one of the characters in the book.

"Me too!" Eren was excited. The boys talked about the books and what they like to read and soon enough Eren's mom knocked on the door. "Levi would you like to stay for dinner tonight?" She asked sweetly.

Eren began to panic. "It would be a pleasure Mrs.  Yeager." Levi said politely.

Eren knew one thing for sure, it would be a day to remember.
