The sun was shining brightly as they piled into Kensi's car to go to work.
It was almost too hot for a LA winter day.
But who were they kidding- Los Angeles didn't have seasons.
It was sunny all year long.
T-shirts and shorts were a must.
Deeks and Kensi walked into their NCIS headquarters, only to be welcomed by Hetty, observing them in silence from the doorway. They didn't seem to notice her until she remarked:
"Well, well, well. We sure are gonna like this next case, aren't we?"
..And the two jumped back, scared.
"Hetty! You scared the living shiz out of me," Kensi recoiled in shock.
"Wait, wait. Hetty, what do you mean?" Deeks asked, "I know we're going undercover together in this case, but what's so special about that?"
Hetty smiled. "You're going undercover on a cruise."
"FINALLY! My long needed vacation away from all this," Deeks grinned.
"Oh gosh," Kensi said, a smirk playing on her lips.
"A cruise and one hunky man," she said playfully, pushing Deeks lightly. "What can go wrong?"
Eric came in. "A lot," he said, rushing in.
He threw Deeks the keys to the NCIS van. "Deeks, Kensi.. You have thirty minutes to pack your bags and meet me here. The cruise starts in three hours and you know LA traffic. It's horrendous."
They left immediately to their separate houses, speeding to pack up enough clothes to last them the week long cruise.
They were going to catch this bad guy, and catch him in style..
Kensi packed her bikini, wishing for a jacuzzi on deck of the massive cruise ship.
Deeks packed a condom.
