#1 Edit
Going over your work, and checking that it’s all in the right tense is a great thing to do! Want to know why? Because it stops people from nagging you about mistakes and if you don’t have as many mistakes – readers will stick around.
#2 Have some suspense
Having suspense (leaving chapters on cliff-hangers) is a great way to keep your readers intrigued.
#3 When promoting…
- Don’t offer ‘vote for vote’ that is against the wattpad rules. It’s called vote trading.
#4 Keep trying!
#5 Write for yourself, not for others!
#6 Paragraphs
Paragraphs make it so much easier to read, not to mention neater!
#7 Pointless Dialogue
Everything said / every conversation should contribute to the story line / plot whatever you want to call it, at some point.
#8 Humour
Don't try and make a character be funny. If you do, it's just going to be horrible and awkward to read.
