So you’re new here right? You’ve just posted your first story (or just a couple of stories, poems, etc) and you want readers.
#1 Don’t advertise…
- On other people’s stories, it’s really rude. You probably wouldn’t feel great if somebody only commented on your story, to tell others to read their story. Of course, in some cases people might say “If there’s a story you want me to read, then comment,” then that’s OK. But just don’t do it otherwise.
- On other peoples message boards. Some people really hate it (like me) and have written in their About Me’s to not advertise on their walls (like me). So yeah, some people like it, and have time for reading requests…but always make sure to check.
#2 Promote in the right clubs
