Chapter 4

I run to the cafeteria in a hurry when class had finally ended. I see him sitting by the window eating a bit of lunch out of a brown paper bag. I run toward him.

Suddenly Valerie came out of nowhere out of the queue to get food and heads into his direction.
I run toward him to intercept but it was too late.
Valerie grins "Hey handsome."
She runs her fingers down his arm. "Say do you fancy getting out of here?.."

I manage to get there whilst tripping over people's bags and trying to weave between the circular tables.

I smile at Alex. "Hey honey sorry I'm late."
Alex grins "That's okay gorgeous.. Our friend here was just keeping entertained before your arrival.."

I smile at Alex. "Of course.. If that's all it was?.."
He makes a pouty face. "Of course Honey.. You know I'd never cheat on you!."

I smile "Okay I'll believe you on this occasion honey.."

He grinned at me.. "Do I seriously have to prove it to you?."
He gets up and kisses me passionately.
He breaks free from the kiss and I blink and smile at the same time. "Now I believe you."

I look at Valerie with a frown. "Beat it.. He's mine.."

Valerie frowns "This isn't over.. I will get what I want eventually.."

When she was gone I stare at him. "Wow that was just wow.."

He laughed "Guess that kiss was good then?."
I nodded "I feel bad.. Did we really have to go that far?.
He shrugged at me "It depends.. What is it that she wants?."

I roll my eyes at him. "Work it out for yourself.."
He frowns at me "Wait.. She wants me?!.."
I laugh "And the penny drops... You must have loads of girls after you.."

He shakes his head "Usually it's the crazy ones."
He touches my hand "For the record.. I don't want that crazy bitch anywhere near me.
I grin at him. "That's noted.. Do you want me to protect you?."

He put his hands together as if he was about to pray. He looks at me "Who else would I trust to protect me in these Special circumstances?."

I giggle "I'm glad you trust me so.. Especially for a girl you just met.."

He shrugged "Maybe we just have a connection."

The bell rings stopping our conversation.
I wave goodbye to him and head to my next class.
I look inside the classroom for Becca and spot her at the back of the classroom.

I sit next to her. "You will not believe what just happened..?!"

She looks at me wide eyed "Quick tell me everything."

I sigh dreamily "Well Valerie was trying to get her claws into him and we made her believe we were together."

She nodded. "Yeah and...?" She sighs impatiently "That's it?.. No Juicy details?..."

I sigh "Well we did sorta kiss."

Becca laughs loudly. "So much for being Friend zoned!."

I snap her "Shh.. Keep your voice down.. I don't want to broadcast it.. Besides it doesn't mean anything.. Does it?."
Becca grins at me like she knows something I don't. "Trust me.. You two are so going to end up together.
