Chapter 6. A loving father

Sania and Sylora walk through the forest for a while and everything seems peaceful for once. Sania starts to giggle and comes up to Sylora and holds some flowers up to him.

SANIA: here please take these! OwO

She blushes a lot but keeps smiling as Sylora takes the flowers from her hands softly and blushes. His tail starts to wag slowly as his heart glows blue from within his chest and he smiles at her kindly.

SYLORA: thank you Sania that was very sweet of you

SANIA: hihihi your welcome!

She starts giggling cutely as she runs through trees with yellow and purple flowers growing off of them and Sylora smiles and follows he. As they run through the forest together she suddenly stops and sees a small house with a mailbox and let's out a squeal as she grabs Sylora's hand and starts to point at the house.

SANIA: That's my parents house!! Please come inside, my parents are here!!

SYLORA: o-ok.. (This might not go well if her dad is around...)

He nervously but willingly follows her to the house. As they approach a beautiful neko with purple ears and tail suddenly opens the front door and smiles at Sania who suddenly glomps her. The other neko hugs Sania back tightly as both their tails wag happily while hugging each other.

SANIA: mommy mommy look who I brought with me! He's so nice and sweet to me he even bought and paid for my food! ^w^

SANIA'S MOTHER: o-oh..h-hello there..you aren't one of those bad men are you?

SYLORA: no way I'm not one of them. And I never will be. Your welcome for taking care of Sania by the way. I guess I'll leave her here where she belongs ^^

As he starts to leave Sania whispers in her moms ear and her mom nods and smiles. Suddenly Sylora is hugged from behind by Sania who is smiling sweetly.

SANIA: w-would you like to join us for lunch, Sylora?

SYLORA: s-sure if that's ok with both your parents..

SANIA: my daddy? U-uh.....I'd rather not have his approval ^^'

SYLORA: why? O-O

Sania gives her mom the "please help me" look and her mother comes over and they both take one of Sylora's hands and drag him into the house. Once inside the house Sania's mother shuts the door and pulls a chair out for Sylora.

SANIA'S MOTHER: come here Sylora, you can sit here ^^

Sylora nervously walks over and sits on the chair Sania's mother pulled out for him. He is a little nervous at this point wondering where the father is and he takes a deep breathe and tries to relax.

SYLORA: um, hi my name is Sylora what is yours?

SARENIA: my name is Sarenia, nice to meet you Sylora!

Sylora kindly smiles and then grips the chair softly as he looks at Sania nervously. His tail moves slowly behind him as he tries to adjust to being calm knowing there is no immediate threats around him.

SANIA: what is it Sylora? Is there something you wish to ask? .w.

SYLORA: uh..where is your father?

The room goes silent and Sylora feeling unnerved and guilty bows his head and lets out a sigh.

SYLORA: sorry for asking that...I won't ask again...

SANIA: it's ok it's just...well...he's...not around anymore..

Sylora immediately feels guilt washing over him as he looks down and grits his teeth and Sarenia pats his shoulder. She looks at him with tears in her eyes while smiling.

SARENIA: he..was taken from us by a dragon of fierce power which cannot be beaten..we both tried..but failed...we barely escaped with our lives...

SANIA: that meany took my daddy!! Q^Q

Sylora's eyes narrow and his heart glows violet as his eyes glow dark purple. He then puts out his hand with claws extended.

SYLORA: where is this..dragon...

Sarenia notices his tail and sees his claws as she starts to worry that Sania has a dangerous person with her but Sania gives her the "it's ok" glance. Sania walks behind Sylora and pats his back softly and smiles at him sweetly.

SANIA: it's ok no one can't fight him so please don't risk your life for us please. It's too dangerous

SYLORA: I may have been beaten by the werewolf but that was because I wasn't using my full power... This time I won't fail and I will demolish this dragon and rip out its beating heart! Why did it take your father?

SANIA: he..refused to give me or my mom to the beast so it took his life instead... T~T

Sylora hugs Sania softly and pets her head softly and she purrs in his arms happily as her tail wags cutely. Sarenia smiles and leaves the two alone to calm herself down knowing her daughter is with someone who cares bout her like her father did.

Sania feeling happy and content snuggles in his arms as Sylora pets her head more smiling. He stops and hugs her then goes into the basement for some alone time in the dark to have some time to think and relax.

Sania smiles and goes to her room and starts going through her things and finds her old diary and starts reading about her dreams and sees a page she drew of her in her dads arms and cries a little while smiling.

SANIA: I love you...daddy...

She holds her diary to her chest and cries softly while remembering the good times when she was younger and she had both her parents. His warm comforting smile, and soft kisses and hugs he gave her every night before she went to bed.

She ran to the basement to see Sylora but couldn't find him. She then runs back to her mom's room and finds her mom staring at a family portrait.

SANIA: mommy where's Sylora?

SARENIA: I don't know, wasn't he with you?

Sania's shakes her head and they both search the house for Sylora and eventually find a note in the basement and when they open it up in the kitchen to read it they see its written in Neko which surprises them both since he didn't look like a neko at all.

As they read it tears pour down Sania's face as she starts to worry and Sarenia pats her back and tries to comfort her worried and scared daughter.

This is what they both saw in the note:

To Sania,

Thanks for having me over

and being so sweet to me for

the past few days, but I won't

return till the beast is dead and

your father is avenged. I will be

back!

SARENIA: I'm sure he'll be fine and come back safe it's ok..your friend will make it out alive..

SANIA: I-it's not just that..I...have a crush on him... QwQ

SARENIA: w-what?! OoO
