Chapter 13. The seductive denizen

As Sylora approaches the dark town he notices more and more vampires starting to appear and his wings cover Sania up protectively using his cold body temperature to shield her from the view of the blood draining creatures.

One of them approaches him then backs away and they start to whisper among themselves while Sylora walks through unharmed and left alone. He spits some of his blood at them and they back away hissing and they turn away as if they found his blood repulsive and they avoid getting in his way.

Sylora's tail sways around threateningly as a tall larger vampire stands in his way and holds up a hand motioning Sylora to stop. He comes to a halt and the the bigger vamp just stares at him with a curious look.

VAMPIRE: what are you doing here outsider?

SYLORA: I'm going to where my brother is to finish him off and save the planet. Is that a problem?

VAMPIRE: no it's not...but..what are you hiding underneath your wings?

SYLORA: none of your business!

VAMPIRE: now now no need to get mad I was only asking. I'm not as wild as my clan is and I have more self control over the thirst so I wouldn't hurt them if they did nothing to us I promise.

SYLORA: how can I trust your not lying?

The vampire then signals his clan to back off and they obediently back away and leave. The vampire then refocuses his eyes with Sylora's and smiles kindly.

VAMPIRE: there are vampires here who are lustful and distasteful but I am not as low as them. I'm the king here and they do as I command. They won't be allowed to harm you if your under my protection.

He holds out a cold hand in a friendly way and Sylora slowly shakes his hand and the vampire leader then turns his back to him and makes a hand motion for Sylora to follow.

BEMARA: my name is Bemara and both you and your friend may call me that name. Ok?

He smiles kindly while Sylora cautiously follows him and opens his wings to check on Sania who pops her head out to see where she's at. The other vampires look at her and Bemara notices her too as she smiles brightly and her ears twitch cutely.

SANIA: oohh I love vampires there so cool!! OwO

Bemara laughs and smiles while motioning to the other vampires to go about their business. Sania excitedly keeps looking around while Sylora follows him while getting nervous and alert.

BEMARA: well I'm glad someone likes our kind..most people hate us for what we are..

SYLORA: I never said I hated vamps..I just have trust issues with certain creatures and men..

SANIA: it's okie Sylora no ones gonna hurt me here I promise! ^w^

BEMARA: How Touching, Isn't love sweet?

Bemara looks back to see Sylora and Sania blushing dark and Sania starts steaming while Sylora gets flustered and shy. Bemara smiles and opens a door to a large castle and lets them go in first while shutting the door behind them after he follows them in.

As they go in they see several tables with vampires dressed in nice clothing while drinking what looks like blood out of whine glasses and they all gaze at them as Sylora tenses up. Bemara then holds out his hands to the other vampires in the room and makes a "stay calm" motion.

BEMARA: everyone, these are our guests Sania and Sylora. Treat them with the upmost respect and dignity and make sure our more wild children outside do not lay a finger on them ok?

They all nod and wave at Sania who waves back and when they wave at Sylora he doesn't really smile but waves his tail at them slowly.

SANIA: sorry everyone! my bf is just shy and cautious! OwO

They all smile and start to go back to what they were doing before and Bemara leads them around the tables and leads them to some stairs where some guards are standing by.

BEMARA: this leads to my royal chambers and the observatory above. If you need me I'll be here in case you need anything to accommodate your needs. I'll either be in my chambers or I might be pacing around in my observatory thinking.

SANIA: okie 0w0

BEMARA: will you be staying here or just passing through?

SYLORA: is it ok if we stay?

BEMARA: certainly is fine with me follow me please

Bemara then leads them to a hallway and then a quarter of the way through he stops in front of a door and opens it for them.

BEMARA: this will be your room your staying in. I hope you enjoy how it's kept clean and neat, we do our best to make people feel at home..sadly almost everyone except you 2 have run away and end up being drained of blood by the more wilder of our clan outside before we can save them.... You may stay as long as you like and if you need anything you know where to find me. Would you like room service? Most people prefer that since no one ever wishes to dine with our kind.

SYLORA: I wouldn't mind dining with you all..I love blood =w=

SANIA: I'll dine with you all too! Vampires aren't really scary ^w^

BEMARA: hahaha! that's wonderful! You two really are nice people! The others we've met we're nice too but they were too afraid... I wish who ever keeps spreading bad rumors about us would stop its really depressing to have most people avoid us..

SANIA: I know your not all bad..everyone inside this castle seems awesome and kind ^w^

BEMARA: your too kind young one, your both welcome to join us tonight if you'd like

SANIA: sure!! I'd love to come eat with you guys! OoO

Sylora simply nods and Bemara then leaves the two alone while smiling happily as he walks down the hall to where the rest of his family is. Sylora then enters the room and shuts the door softly while putting Sania down who starts running around cutely as she starts making cute cat noises.

Sylora smiles and just watches her as he sits down calmly while Sania enjoys herself. Sania then curls up in his lap and snuggles in his arms while Sylora softly scratches her behind her ears and she purrs as her eyes get heavy.

Sylora scratches her behind the ears more and soon she drifts off to sleep and purrs softly in his arms. He smiles and stays awake again refusing to sleep as he watches over Sania again.

Elsewhere in the town the succubus keeps walking towards the heart of the dark place and is confronted by several vampire men who she pushes out of her way.

SUCCUBUS: loathsome creatures...disgusting...

One of the vampires gets angry at her harsh remark and comes up to take her head off but she quickly spins around and slices his head off causing an all out attack frenzy. She then one by one takes their heads off and soon starts walking away unfazed.

Suddenly the vampires stand back up as there bodies get back together by an unknown force and they come at her again. She then looks back with an innocent smile as she vanishes before them leaving the vampires confused and dazed.

She then flies up and around looking for Sylora but can't find him. Frustrated she lands far away in the outskirts and goes into a vampire crypt where she takes refuge in for the night.
