Chapter 12. The darkness from below

After a long walk the 2 reach the forest and Sylora rests his weary head on a tree and Sania then stops and runs back to his side.

SANIA: Sylora? What's wrong?

SYLORA: I'm just...tired...

Suddenly he changes to his creature form and slowly stomps around with Sania trailing behind him worried and eventually Sylora stops and rests on the ground for a bit. Sania starts chasing some butterflies giggling cutely an as she chases them she loses sight of Sylora.

when she finally stops and notices she's lost sight of him Sania gets worried and heads back to the spot where he was before only to find an empty grassy spot. She then starts looking around feeling all alone and sad.

SANIA: Sylora! Where are you?! Q.Q did I do something wrong? Sylora!

A tear rolls down her cheek and she sits at a tree and looks down hugging her knees feeling down and abandoned.

SANIA: why would he leave here all alone? What did I do wrong? Q-Q

She closes her eyes and looks up and when she opens her eyes she sees a large dark shape protruding from the side of the tree above her head. She then gets up and backs away to see the shape looks like Sylora but a certain black substance was attached to his body and the tree holding him in place.

She then starts calling up to him but he doesn't answer. She then sits down and starts to wonder if this was the end and he just put himself up there and was sealed away.

2 hours later after taking a nap she hears noises from above and looks up at the where the sounds were coming from. She sees what looks like Sylora's head splitting open and she starts to tear up but then stops as she sees something underneath that looks similar but much, much bigger.

As the whole thing splits open a bigger version of the creature falls down in front of her and the green veins glow brightly as the creature gives out a loud roar after she covers her neko ears. Suddenly the creature looks down at her and its eyes glow green and it softly nuzzles her causing her to panic wondering why it's doing that.

Suddenly a dark cloud surrounds the creature and after the dark cloud disappears Sylora at his natural height with clothes on stands in front if her petting her head softly and kisses her forehead gently.

SYLORA: sorry I should've told you my species is a type of alien insect...we go in cocoons and then evolve inside them slowly. We later come back out stronger and better and...well the test is hard to explain ^^

SANIA: so your ok? Q-Q

SYLORA: yes I'm ok don't worry sweety ^^

He pets her head softly and she blushes an purrs while snuggling into his arms cutely with her eyes closed. She notices his body is a bit bigger and more muscular and his exterior seems tough and hard the touch. Feeling content and safe in his arms she falls asleep and he walks through the peaceful forest calmly to a small town.

As he approached the small town he notices the sky getting darker and darker and the sunlight doesn't even come through. Tensing up Sylora trudges through with a grim expression and sure enough he was right. He sees a small pale figure bare it's fangs hissing and Sylora responds with his more dominant and deeper hiss which makes the small pale figure run off into the distance.

SYLORA: ....vampires......great...

Meanwhile back in the tower Sylora's brother is just staring down at his small growing empire when one of his messengers leaves a scroll on his desk and runs off fast and scared. As soon as the evil brother reads the inside of the scroll he becomes angry and burns it up while smashing his feet into the floor.

EVIL BROTHER: dammit!! She was supposed to be taken out!! Why is she still alive?! Brother...you fool....why must you keep getting in the way?

He shakes his head and looks around for something when he suddenly gets an idea. He smiles wickedly and calls for his servants who then listen to him and go back down the tower.

EVIL BROTHER: this time I won't fail!! Heh heh heh... Good luck beating this seductive demon!

Somewhere at the foot of the tower a small hole in the ground opens up and a dark creature with purple eyes flies out and heads in Sylora's direction very fast over the evil brother's city below as it soars overhead.

The winged being smiles demonically as her hands open and close while flying in the air and she starts to laugh evilly.

SUCCUBUS: I will charm my master's brother into leaving that annoying feline and make him mine. Once he's into me he will no longer care for her and that's when I will take her life!!

She suddenly lands on the ground and slowly walks around looking for clothes to wear and sees a vampire staring at her lustfully. She smirks and beckons it to come her way and the vampire obediently walks over and as it bares its fangs she takes its head off swiftly and puts its clothes on while heading towards the vampire infested town.
