Blood was spilling from their throats, covering the floor in a thick, shiny pool of dark red. I spun around, looking for the culprit. When I turned back he was right there in my face. I had just enough time to see the flash of silver before the knife pierced my heart.
My sore body fell off my bunk into the dirt making a loud thump. My gun slid across the room.
"What's going on?" One of the boys mumbled starting to awaken. "Who's up?"
I hopped back in my bed and hoped no one would see me and think I was up. I would have to get up early and get my gun back, or else someone would suspect I was out of my bunk. There were strict rules that you had to stay in your bed from 10 pm-4:30 am.
As I looked up at the ceiling from my bunk, I couldn't fall asleep. All I could think about was my dream, or should I say dreams. I have been having them for so long.
