I waited at the bus stop for about an hour. Just sitting there. When the bus finally screeched to a halt, a man got off, and shoved past me sending my bag flying out of my hand. I reached over and picked it up, and boarded along with the other passengers.

I sat down in a seat crammed in between an older black man and a younger, cuter guy.

"BzzzBzt!" My phone beeped loudly. I felt my cheeks flush. I made sure my hood was over my short hair better.

"BzzzBzt!" My phone beeped again.

"Sorry." I said to the man and cute guy.

"Oh, its cool."  The boy says. The man ignores me. I quickly put in the lock to my phone.

TWO TEXTS FROM MOM it said at the top. I tapped the notification.

What do you want for dinner honey? Are you eating at Lisa's? If not I'll save you something!

Kella? You there? Answer me when you see this!!

What? I thought. Did she not see the note? I turn down the ringer on my phone and put it into my string bag. I hope she finds the note eventually! I glance over at cute guy, and he awkwardly smiles at me. I awkwardly smile back, and we sit there for a few minutes in even more awkward silence until he finally speaks up.

"So where you going?" The cute guy asks.

"Tallahassee." I say in a lower voice, practicing for when I reached the war.5!

"Hey, me too, I'm actually going off to join the war." He says.

I question myself if I should tell him that I am joining too, but then feel silly thinking that. Why would it matter? To him, I am just another boy going to tallahassee. "I am too." I tell him. That's when I realize I will need a fake name.

"Cool!  What's your name?" Cute guy asked.

"My name is..." I hesitated, and said the first name that came to my mind. "Jimothy." What? What was I thinking when I said that? What kind of a name is Jimothy? Well I have sealed my fate. I will have to be Jimothy for the rest of my military life.

"Um, OK." he nods his head. "Cool name." He says, but it sounds like a question. "My name is..." His voice gets cut off by a sudden shriek of agony, followed by a thump and more screaming.
"Oh my god!" I jump out of my seat and run to the lady. She has stopped screaming and is lying in the aisle unconscious or maybe dead. "What happened!?" I ask frantically.
"She just started screaming, and then she fell into the aisle!" A man yells. A woman tells me in a calm voice that she has already called 911. She told me that she was her sister, and she thinks she had a heart attack. The doctor had told them days before that her arteries were very clogged and a heart attack is possible but her sister refused to stay in a hospital because she had the biggest basketball game of her life in a few days.
"She still has a pulse! We need CPR!" Someone shouted. I fell to my knees before the girl. I put my hands in the formation and pushed on her chest. I remember learning CPR in a babysitting class. I opened her mouth with my hands and put my lips to hers. One, two, three I told myself and blew. I did that three times and she gasped awake.
"She needs medical attention right away!" I yelled and jumped off the bus. I needed to get out and luckily no one noticed. If the officials came and saw me they might ask who I was, and I haven't exactly thought of a backstory for "Jimothy" yet.

I look at the signs. I think I'm on the outskirts of Tallahassee! I put my hand in my pocket and grab my wallet. I have about 34 dollars. I hope that's enough for a cab to the war enrollment. I checked my phone, 2 more texts from my mom and it's 3:30 in the morning. I decide I will check those texts later.
