This. Is. chantello. She is my twin. Literally. EVEN THOUGH WE'RE NOT THE SAME AGE, BUT THOSE ARE JUST MINOR DETAILS. SHE IS LIKE...I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE TWINSIE. SHE'S LIKE AWESOME AND AMAZING AND COOL ROLLED UP INTO ONE HUMAN BODY. HER STORIES ARE PERFECT. AND HER WRITING IS PERFECT. AND SHE'S A PERFECT PERSON. AND SHE LOVES RICK RIORDAN (as you can read about in this interview) SO THAT JUST MAKES HER PERFECTION LEVEL INCREASE.
I'LL STOP RAMBLING NOW.
o1. What is your username and how did you come up with it?
My username is chantello. I’m a really lame person, so I just added my first name (Chantelle) and my surname together. Yup. Lame.
o2. When and how did you find Wattpad?
I found Wattpad in 2011, I think? I used to be one of those fictionpress gals, until I saw a story that was only a “preview” and that if I wanted to continue reading, I had to go to “Wattpad”. So, I checked it out, fell in love, gave up fictionpress and moved on in.
o3. What is your favourite thing about this site?
My favourite thing about this site would have to be the site itself. It’s really clean and efficient, in a way that fictionpress isn’t. Plus, you don’t even have to be a writer to have fun on this site. You can be here just to make friends, or to create covers and trailers, etc.
o4. How many books are you currently writing?
Too many to count. I have two unfinished works up on this site currently, but behind the scenes, there are tons of unfinished stories. At the top of my head, a few titles are Defected, Mazeme, and The Rejects. Most don’t have names yet. I probably spend more time organizing my documents than writing! (It’s ‘cause I’m a total neat freak.)
o5. Have you ever finished a book and how did that feel?
NO, I HAVE NOT FINISHED A BOOK AND I REALLY WANT TO KNOW HOW IT FEELS. That’s my goal this summer, to finish a book. And then I can treat myself to some cookie dough ice cream. Mmm… ice cream.
o6. What is currently your most important project? How did you come up with this idea and what do you like about writing it?
My number one project isn’t up on this site, and I don’t really plan on posting it here. It doesn't have a title yet and it’s a dystopian, mystery, romance, underground rebels kind of story. The concept of HTML gave me the idea for this novel, oddly enough. I love the challenge that comes with writing this project because the main character, Briar, is stuck permanently in a wheelchair. So I have to check myself as I write, just in case I type something along the lines of, “she walked down the street…”
(TC: HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS STORY? IT SEEMS AMAZING AND WHEN IT IS PUBLISHED, I WILL BE THE FIRST PERSON AT THE BOOKSTORE.)
o7. Who are your favourite real-life authors?
My favourite author of all time is, without a doubt, Rick Riordan. Then man is a genius and it would be a dream come true to meet him.
(TC: That is the most perfect answer right there.)
o8. What are you favourite published books?
I don’t really have a favourite book, so I’ll just say anything of Riordan’s.
(TC: DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW SIMILAR WE ARE NOW?)
o9. Who are you favourite Wattpad authors?
