(Karamastu POV)

Tonight, we ate dinner at Chibita's oden shop. I suggested we go there, mostly for Ichimatsu's sake to be honest. He needed to relax. Even after our talk the night before, he still seemed on edge. Of course, no one had listened to me until Osomatsu suggested the exact same thing 2 minutes later. Eh, I've gotten used to it. Even if well deserved, I cannot always take all of the credit. The tragic life I live, hidden in the shadows of my brothers unearned success, doomed to be-

"You idjits come here every week and never buy anything! Ugh, why do I even bother?" Chibita groaned, interrupting my thoughts. "I ought to get a restraining order against you six assholes!"

"Sorry Chibita, your oden is just too good. We couldn't resist." I winked, using my charm to calm him down. Chibita opened his mouth to yell again but then smiled, "Haha, well of course! My oden is the best in the universe, even you idjits should be able to tell!" We all chuckled awkwardly, feeding his ego. Casual conversation continued on between everyone. Ichimatsu was extra quiet tonight, sipping on his drink slowly. What's going on with him? Although I am unintentionally "painful", and Ichimatsu definitely hates me the most for it, I still worry about him.

"Oi, Karamastu, come take a selfie with me." Todomatsu called, already leaning over and having his camera ready. "Hm, there's a glare on your sunglasses, take 'em off." he added. I removed my signature shades with a hairflip for extra effect.

"What the fuck? Are those colored contacts? Ugh, you're so embarrassing!" Todomatsu covered his face with his hands and groaned.

"Nevermind...Ichimatsu! Take a selfie with me!"

I paused, wondering how he would react. Poor Totty, he's probably gonna get chewed out by Ichimatsu.

To my surprise, Ichimatsu actually leaned in for the picture with no protest. He even flashed a peace sign! Hmm, maybe I had been reading him wrong all night. "Ah, thank you Ichimatsu-niisan! Unlike some people, you can take a proper picture." Todomatsu smiled, posting the photo on whatever social media site he frequented. I ignored his insult and tuned it to what Choromatsu was bragging about.

"You know, as Totoko's manager, I get all sorts of action behind the scenes." Choromatsu boasted.

"I thought you were fired?" Osomatsu rolled his eyes, failing to hide his jealousy.

"No. Well yes, technically, but no-"

Ichimatsu wordlessly stood up from the table and left.

"What's his problem?" Chibita scoffed, "One of you idjits better pay for his bill."

Choromatsu continued, "Anyways, you could interpret it as me getting 'fired' but I see it in a different light."

"How so? Sounds like a load of bullshit to me." Osomatsu remarked. "Haha yeah, stop lying niisan!" Jyushimatsu laughed.

"Shut up! You guys are just jealous of me and Totoko-chan!"

"Yea, as if we'd be jealous of a virgin like you, Fappymatsu." Todomatsu smirked.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!?"

I slipped away to follow Ichimatsu. Even if everything was fine, following him couldn't hurt. Plus, I didn't want to get caught in the crossfire of my brothers arguing. I'm the one who always gets the most shit. I don't deserve it. Or am I that painful, that I do deserve it? Perhaps fate had aligned itself, not due to my "painfulness", but simply by chance, for me to-

Wait, Ichimatsu. Right.

After closely tracking him (and tripping on my face three times), I followed Ichimatsu all the way back home. No wonder he was so quiet tonight, my younger brother was just tired. What a relief.

Or so I thought.
