(Choromatsu POV)

My last time visiting the hospital was terrible. Heck, this past week has been a nightmare too. But now I have a spark of hope. Maybe, just maybe, this means we can finally be a real family again. I hugged whatever brother was next to me a bit harder, trying to preserve the moment. We all needed this.

Someone knocked on the door, abruptly breaking up our group hug. It was the doctor. I cleared my throat, "Well? What's next for Ichimatsu?" The rest of my brothers listened attentively, worried as much as I was. I hoped Ichimatsu was able to come home with us soon. When he came back from the hospital last time, everything went to shit. He deserved better. This time will be better.

The doctor took a look at his clipboard, "I'll just cut to the chase. Ichimatsu's untreated open wounds have caused him to get septecima, or sepsis. It's a serious infection in the blood which can be life threatening."

I nodded, although slightly annoyed. We already know it was life threatening, but he's fine now. Right?

"Our tests have also shown that he has a very weak immune system, probably due to not eating right. He has a fever and throat infection. This, plus the sepsis, can lead to organ system failure. In fact, during surgery, Ichimatsu went into septic shock twice. His blood pressure dropped dramatically and dangerously low. Our antibiotics have him stable for now, but he's definitely not 100%. He's incredibly fortunate to be alive."

I swallowed uneasily. He's not fine.

"Due to his self-harming and," The doctor flipped the page on the clipboard, "previous suicide attempt, Ichimatsu Matsuno will be checked into the psych ward indefinitely. I predict he'll be transferred from the hospital in a week or so."

I think my heart stopped. He isn't coming home. We aren't gonna be a real family. The doctor was still saying something. Why won't he shut up? All he has is bad news. Shut up, shut up, shut up.

"- Depression, or even Bipolar Personality Disorder. After being evaluted, Ichimatsu will be treated accordingly. We can go over the details later, once Ichimatsu is in the clear."

Ichimatsu nodded his head slowly, taking in the information. How could he look so calm? I'm not even in his place and yet I feel like I'm about to throw up. Perhaps it's because he's all drugged up and doesn't realize the extremity of the situation. Or maybe he's been expecting this. Then again, he is a good actor. Three years and no one could tell a thing. Ichimatsu's must've perfected his poker face.

The room became uncomfortably quiet. I took in a deep breath, calming myself down. "A-at least he's getting the help he needs." I said, trying to convince my brothers. I knew by their faces that they were ready to protest against it, but that wouldn't help anything.

"Exactly. I still have some paper work to do but please let me know if you guys have any further questions." The doctor paused at the doorway, "By the way, visiting hours will end soon." He left the six of us alone again.

Osomatsu looked ready to go off on a tangent, the idiot. Surprisingly though, he kept his mouth shut.

"Anyways brother, we are so glad that you'll be getting better. For real this time." Karamatsu showed a smile of support.

"Yeah." Ichimatsu muttered back.

Todomatsu's phone notification went off. He peeked at the message, and I think his face went a little pale. Jyushimatsu asked what happened. Totty said quickly, "Heh, it's nothing. I gotta go though, sorry. See you guys at home. Stay strong Ichi!" And hurried out the room.

"That was weird."

"Yea, what was that all about?"

"He probably just forgot about some date with his girlfriends."

"True."

I made a mental note to later scold Todomatsu for leaving early. I hope he isn't falling back into his old patterns again. "How're you feeling, Ichimatsu?" I asked, changing the subject.

Ichimatsu coughed then winced, guess he really does have a throat infection. He spoke in a raspy voice, "I feel super tired... probably gonna go into another coma, heh. But seriously, I'm glad you guys took care of me, and I'm sorry that I made you all go through so much trouble. Whatever happens, well, you know, it's gonna be alright."

How thoughtful for him to say. Karamatsu teared up, "O-of course brother! We'll always be here for you!" The rest of us agreed.

Osomatsu smiled, "Yeah. Well visiting hours are over, so we'll see you tomorrow."

We all said our goodbyes but on the way home, I couldn't help but shake this bad feeling off of me. I don't know why. It's probably nothing, but still. I just hope everything goes good.
