"I don't know what to wear?"  I frantically replied as I threw things out of the closet. I had a towel wrapped around me and another towel around my hair.

"I seriously don't know how you managed to do your runs and then come home to shower and get ready.  You have one hour girl until he arrives."  Maya said flipping through a magazine on her bed.

"You could help me."  I said rolling my eyes.

"I could but it's funny to see you squirm and struggle. What got into you today anyway?"  Maya asked slowly getting up off the bed to help pick out and outfit.

"I don't know. He's mysterious to me. It's like there is more to him than this smart, shy, guy. I kind of liked that and I liked him saving me from Mike. I guess I feel like I owe him. How about this get up?"  I said holding up a short black skirt with a purple short-sleeved sweater.  I don't even like skirts that much but I thought it was decent enough.

"Nope."  Maya tossed the clothes out of my hands. "I think you liked being the damsel in distress. He is your prince; your knight in shining armor coming to save the day."  She laughed.  "Try this one."  Maya tossed out a white short skirt, a tan top that had silver sequins on the front and hung a bit low.

"Perfect!"  I said. I grabbed the clothes and ran back into the bathroom to change. "Time?"  I asked thru the door.

"You now have 30 minutes!"  Maya yelled.  I rushed blow drying my hair and straightening it out. I managed to pull a few strands over to the side with a bobby pin and then started on my makeup.

"How do I look?"  I asked stepping out of the bathroom.

"I thought this was a friend date?"  Maya smiled.

"Well, it is but..." I was stopped.

"I was only kidding. You look amazing!"  She said. "Have you decided which movie to see?"

"No. I haven't gotten that far yet."  I said putting on my flats. Time seemed to go by so slow until I heard the front doorbell ring.

"Liz, you have a visitor! He's cute, I may add."  Marissa, one of the girls in our house replied.

"Coming!" I yelled out my bedroom door.

"Ooh go get him and I want details!"  Maya said following me to the stairs. I looked down and saw Nic stare up at me. He was gorgeous wearing a pair of blue jeans, converses, a short-sleeved plaid shirt and a black jacket. his hair was kind of spikey looking this time instead of down.

"It's just a friend date."  I said whispering back to Maya who playfully pushed me down the first step. As I started to descend down the stairs I couldn't help but notice Ali eyeing me with a death wish type of stare. It was weird. I mean she told me that she wasn't into Nic that way but was she lying to me?

Nic had his arm extended out to me like a gentleman as he waited for me to get to the bottom step. I took his arm and looked back at Maya. "You have her home before midnight, sir."  Maya said.

Nic grinned and my world about stopped. "Don't worry. I'll have her home before then, mom."  He said waving at Maya before we walked out the front door.

"You look very pretty for a friend date."  Nic replied cocky. "But I like it."  He smiled. All I could do was just nod and say, "Thanks." I brushed a piece of my hair behind my ear.

"So, are we taking my car?"  I asked looking around on the street in front of us.

"Nope. We're taking my bike."  Nic said pointing to the motorcycle in front of us. I didn't realize that Nic had that badassness to him. I was impressed but scared.
