I ran out as fast as I could in my dress. Right then, my love for that dress reduced a bit. I wish I was in my pajamas or my gym pants. I heard footsteps approaching me as I ran in the direction of my home.

"Taxi! Taxi!" I yelled as I saw the yellow car coming towards me and I thanked God when it stopped. I threw the door open, got inside and then slammed the door shut.

"Go! Go! Go!" I yelled as the driver slowly started driving and I peered through the window and saw all four of them standing some distance away, panting and clutching their knees. Good thing I run everyday. I outran them!! Yay!

"Madam, where do you want to go?" The driver turned back to look at me with a confused expression on his face  as I leaned back into the seat.

"Just drive. I'll tell you where to go." I smiled and he nodded and we drove away. I peered again through the window but the four were nowhere to be seen.

After some time, I saw the familiar structure and color of my house and I told the driver to stop. The car halted in front of my house and I peered out through the window as I cautiously lifted myself out of the car. I looked sideways on the street and then turning to the driver, handed him the money and then ran to my front door. Nervously, I fumbled with the lock and the key fell on the cobblestoned path. Beads of sweat appeared on my forehead as I picked up the key and looked back at the street. The street was eerily silent today. Finally, the door opened and I went inside and slamming the door shut, leaned on the closed door and heaved a big sigh of relief.

I was safe! I ran one hand through my hair and then looked around my house. What should I do now? Call the police? I quickly ran towards the window beside the door and peered through it. Nobody. I pulled the shutter down and covered the curtain. I ran towards the back door and hurriedly locked it. My hands were sweaty as I closed all the windows around my house, even closing the ventilator and stuff like that! I was scared. That's it. I WAS FREAKING SCARED.

I wiped sweat from my forehead and then tiptoed slowly to my room, taking care not to step on one of the creaky stairs. I went inside my room and bolted it. And I mean REALLY bolted it. I assembled whatever furniture I could and pushed them in front of the door, even keeping the table lamp on top of the furniture like a cherry on the cake. And then I sat on the bed.

Should I call the police? But what would I say? That some perverted boys of my school followed me? But they didn't really follow me, did they? I slowly picked up my dress and tiptoed towards the window that looked down at the street. I pulled the curtain just half a centimeter and peered through one eye. Nothing.

I breathed a sigh of relief.

Maybe they are not going to come. Maybe I'm scared for no reason at all. Yeah! They gave up! I'm safe!

I fist-pumped into the air as I felt a wave of victory wash over me. Now I needed to change. I went inside the bathroom and slipped into one of my comfortable pajamas and shirt. I hung up the dress carefully inside my closet and then stood in front of my bed.

I just have to pass this night. Tomorrow I will pack my bags and move to Honolulu. Yes.

Are you mad, brain? Really, Honolulu?

I shook my head and then slipped into my bed and covered myself with the blanket. Leaning on the headboard, I stared at the stacked furniture in front of the door. How did I get myself into this mess?I wish Mom was here......

SMASH!

My eyes flew open as I heard the sound of shattering glass and saw that the table lamp was lying on the floor, shattered into a million pieces. My head snapped up towards the door but everything was silent. Did an earthquake paid a visit to my home? Highly Unlikely.
