''Mumma are we the only people in this world?''
''No darling there is an entire galaxy waiting to be explored.We're just a meagre part of this humongous galaxy.Just like dust, small''
'' So I was not an important part to daddy?''
''Why do you say that my angel?''
'' Because daddy said I meant the world to him,but world is just a small part to the galaxies na mamma?''
'' Its true , he left to explore other galaxies.....''
END OF FLASHBACK
I looked out of my airplane window to see the clouds beneath us. My mom was sleeping next to me and there was some kind of satisfaction on her face that made me forget all about my worries.
I plugged in my headphones when the track Photograph by Ed Sheeran started to play.
This song reminded me of the people I loved back home in Dehradoon. Dehradoon, a small city in India where I've spent 16 years of my life. I had never imagined my life outside India but here I was on a plane heading to New York city.
I was broken from my reverie by the air hostess, she told me to fasten my seatbelt, as we were going to land.
I realised that the skyscraper were visible through the clouds. It was pretty amazing and scary and I got a tumble of mixed emotions.
Will i stand out or get mixed in the crowd?
Will i make it or fake it?
