Chapter 5

I cautiously stepped out of Harry’s room, his teeshirt slightly hanging off of my shoulder revealing my bare neck. after realizng this I pulled it up before I looked both ways.

“Harry?” I asked hoeping he would hear me with his vampire powers. I still wasn’t sure how much freedom I had after I had betrayed his trust that day.

 “Harry?” I asked again stepping further out of the room.

Nothing.

I sighed and started towards the stairs. I heard a swoosh sound and felt the presence of somebody behind me. I smiled and turned around, but Harry was frowning.

“Where do you think you’re going?!” he asked starting towards me with his arms crossed over eachother in anoyance. I brushed it off my shoulder knowing that I did deserve this after mt episode.

I put my hands up. “Looking for you, im hungry,” I said walking up to him and giving him a hug. I felt his muscles relax as he wrapped his big arms around me n return.

“Come on then love,” he said taking my hand and leading me downstairs.

I took big steps trying to keep up with Harry and his long legs. I hopped down the stairs to meet three pairs of red eyes. I looked up at Harry questioningly to see that his eyes were red too. He looked whiter then usual. I suddenly noticed how cold his hand was, colder then usual.

“We have to go for a little while,” said Harry squeezing my hand.

“Zayn is going to stay here with you.” He said letting go and kissing my cheek. “I will be back soon.”

Liam, Louis, and Niall smiled as they started to pull on their shoes.

“Zayn?” I asked in a panic. “Why Zayn, can’t one of you stay here with me?” I said searching their eyes for an answer.

The boys had all been very friendly except for Zayn. He was always looking at me in a weird way. He was quiet; he would never talk to me. I had never been alone with Zayn and I didn’t know what to expect. I know that some vampires are different then others, just because I am Harry’s mate doesn’t mean that other vampire can’t bite me. I know the other boys wouldn’t dare bite me, but I wasn’t sure about Zayn.

I walked up to Liam and tugged on his sleeve. “Liam, please.” I asked with pleading eyes. I watched as he attempted not to look at my newly exsposed neck and meet my eyes. He sighed and looked at his feet beofre nodding

He looked at the other boys. “You go I will catch up with you.” He said waving them off.

The other boys nodded, but Harry gave Liam a weird look.

“Don’t worry I wont try anything,” he said smiling.

Harry nodded and followed Louis and Niall out the door.

Liam turned back to me. “Jade, I know that you don’t know Zayn very well, but we need to hunt and he is the only one available to watch you.” He said.

I crossed my arms, a bit ticked off by the fact they thought that i needed to be watched “Can’t Harry wait a little bit?” I stupidly asked already knowing the answer.

“Did you see him?” he asked “Harry hasn’t eaten in days, if we leave him alone with you any longer he will suck you dry”

Suck me dry.

I gulped as those words sunk in. Harry loved me but sometimes he just wouldn’t be able to control himself. He could bite me whenever he wanted too, he could take me aside for a little snack whenever his heart desired and I wouldn't even have a say in teh matter.
