Chapter 31

**Hey

So I just wanted to say thanks to anyone who read KimWasHere’s fanfic I’m sure it meant a lot to her.

Also, I got a lot of really nice comments from you guys yesterday.

Thank you so much; when you guys leave me stuff like that it really does mean a lot

I am stuck babysitting two very crazy and opinionated eight year olds who haven’t seen each other in a year so I will probably be going out of my mind by the next time I update

**NATALIES POV**

I still feel insecure just from the thought of his gaze. I know he went in there and it enfuriates me, a girl like that shouldn't be stuck with a boy like him. It had been a day since my little talk with Harry I hear a knock on the door. I run downstairs excited because we never get any visitors. I open the door and frown at whom I see, “Hello Natalie.” Says George, the owner of Jade’s diner.

“Listen George I’m sorry she left but something big came up and-“

“Something big always comes up with her. I am sorry but Jade does not need to come to work tomorrow because she is fired. I will come back later with her last paycheck.” He says.

“But its-“

“No buts! I’ll be back.” He says before turning around and walking away. I put my hands on my hips and stick out my tongue at him as he walks down the long driveway that is completely shaded by oak trees. I shut the two big old doors with a loud thud and then sink against them. Jade is going to be crushed, she just wanted to start her life over and hat stupid prick had to come and mess it up.

I found Jade in the woods at an old house. I brought her back here realizing she was a vampire. Despite me telling her that going out into the real world was a bad idea, Jade insisted that she wasn’t going to let being a vampire control her life. She was lucky enough to have one of those necklaces so that she could go out in the sun, where as I am stuck here in this dreaded house until night comes hen I am forced t go out and kill innocent people as I have been for the passed three years. My family and me used to live in here, but one day my sister was changed. She came home after disappearing for almost a week looking wild and hungry. So because of her instincts she killed the first two humans she could get her hands on which happened to be my parents, turned me, and left. I haven’t gone out into the sun since.

There is another knock on the door and I clench my fists at the thought of his bald head and rude additude . I don’t want to talk to that hotheaded jerk again He knocks again, louder this time and I open the door. Instead of being greeted by George’s baldhead and old wrinkles, I meet a pair of sea blue eyes and blonde hair.

I gulp.

I could look at him all day, but I rip my eyes away to acknowledge the three other handsome boys and the girl standing behind him, “Hi.” I say in a weak voice. the boy just stands there in return with his mouth hanging open.

He is pushed to the side and a boy with a quiff and brown eyes says “is Harry here?”

“Yeah.” I say trying to avoid looking at the beautiful blonde boy behind him.

“…Can we see him?” he asks.

“Huh? Oh, um he is with Jade right now.”

“Jades here!?” asks one with brown eye sand a buzz cut.

“Are you…”

“Friends.” Says the blonde haired boy in an Irish accent. “I’m Niall, and you?” he asks

“Natalie.” I say only looking at him for a brief moment.

“I’m Louis,” says one of the boys from the back.

“And I’m Zayn, this is Delilah, and that’s Liam.” Says the boy with the quiff.

“Well… come in” I say putting on a smile and holding open the door.

They all walk in and look around in awe.

The room is completely made out of white marble except for the two big wooden doors that are painted black with immensely detailed roses carved into the sides. In the center is a staircase leading up to the second floor, which is held up by eight big white pillars. Above the staircase sits a huge semi circle window with green curtains, which are pulled over the big glass dome to block out the rays of sun that used to reflect off the marble floors.

I miss the sun.

I miss my family.

I lead them upstairs and knock on Jade’s door, “Yeah?” she asks in a groggy voice.

“You have some visitors.” I say.

Jade slowly opens the door and when she sees who it is her eyes drop, “Hey.” She says.

“JADE!” they all scream at the same time before giving her one big group hug. Jade looks up surprised and then smiles, a smile that I havent seen the whole time that she has been here. I lose sight of her in the sea of boys. Her voice is lost in the midst of all theirs because they all start talking at once.

“We thought you were dead!”

“We were so scared!”

“Thank god your okay!”

“You lost some weight.”

“When did you wake up?”

They all ask at the same time.

From behind her Harry sits up in the bed rubbing his eyes. He is shirtless so I can see the tattoos that cover his muscular body up until his collarbones. One that catches my eye is right above his abdomen. It is a heart that says Gem’s on top written in some loopy script. Inside the heart reads 1992-2011. When Harry sees me staring he quickly grabs his sweatshirt from the ground and pulls it on. I shoot him a glare and he quickly looks away before getting up and walking over to Jade. After all the boys clear out Harry walks over to Jade and wraps his arms around her, “So you guys are cool?” asks Liam.

“Yeah.” Says Harry staring at Jade lovingly.

“Lets go home then!” says Liam.

A blonde girl glued to Zayn’s side yawns and nods following Liam out the door dragging Zayn behind her. Zayn glares at Harry and follows the yawning girl. They all walk downstairs chatting and I follow hesitantly. When they get to the door I stop and watch them all go. They start outside none of them even acknowledging my existence, or at least that is what I thought when the blonde boy turns around.

He stands at the door and looks at me, “Does anyone else live here?” he asks

“Um… nope, just me and… well now just me I guess.” I say laughing a little bit at how stupid I must sound.

“You could maybe… um stay with us until you find somebody to stay with you. I-It can’t be to much fun in this big house all alone.” He says with a reassuring smile.

“I wouldn’t want to-“

“No!’ he says smiling now. “We can make room, come on!” he says motioning for me to follow.

I smile and go to follow him before realizing the problem. I stop again and fold my hands,“Well what are you waiting for?” he asks.

“I-I can’t go in the sun.” I say looking at my feet.

“Don’t worry.” Says Niall pulling something out of his pocket.

Niall hands me a clover necklace on a leather string,“But aren’t you supposed to save these for your-“

“Yeah…” He interrupts looking me up and down before walking out the door and catching up with the rest of them.

I stand there with my mouth hanging open unable to process what had just happened. I eventually smile and run after Jade and the boys with newfound hope.
