I made a couple of changes to Hopes flashback in chapter 21 to help connect her later on to something else.
I suggest you go back and read it, if you don’t you will probably still get it. The biggest change is that when she got her heart broken she was already a vampire and Jai knew what she was.
You will get all your answers in the next book, I promise.

**JADE”S POV**
Even though I can run Harry carried me bridal style back to a house in the woods kissing my head and muttering sweet nothings in my ear. I push my self closer and closer to him until there is no space left and my head is roughly pressed against his cold chest lifeless chest. I’m not tired, but I feel relaxed for the first time in almost a month here in his arms. I feel him carry me up the stairs and then set me down on a very cushy bed. I laugh as he rolls over me and I feel his body weight on the other side of the bed causing me to be pushed up and roll closer to him.
He takes both my hands and kisses me passionately, “Your beautiful, you know that?” he asks. I nod my head up and down in response with tears of happiness pouring out of my eyes hungry for his soft red lips again.
There is a cough from the door and we both abruptly sit up.
“….De?” I ask.
“Hi.” She says in a scratchy voice as if she has been crying. “Can I…um can I talk to you?” she asks looking at me like she ahs seen a ghost
“Yeah.” I say getting up missing Harry’s green eyes inches from mine the second they are gone. I shoot him a look and he gives me a reassuring smile.
I slowly follow Delilah out of them room, down the stairs, and through the door until I can feel the moist leaves on my bare feet. I wiggle my toes and pull Harry’s sweatshirt closer to my cold body as if it would help, “What do you want to-“ I start but I am cut off when she throws her arms around me.
“Jade I’m so sorry I was such a bitch I love you so much and I’m not scared of you I really really like you and I was so happy that I got you back and then I lost you again and it was all my fault and I’m sorry.” She says in one big breath.
I smile and hug her back, “It’s okay De.” I say, she pulls back and loops her hands together like she always does when she has something on her mind.
“Jade there is one more thing.” She says.
“Yeah?” I ask just happy to have her back.
She sighs. “I don’t want to be the reason that you think that you cant drink-eat-drink… blood.” She says
My mouth drops and I just look at her for a bit.
“Lilah I-“
“No, Harry told Zayn and Zayn told me and I know that it is because of what I said.”
I put my hands in my pockets. “Well… its not like I’m doing it just because you said it, you made me think and-“
“You are doing just because I said it.” She confesses for me as if she was reading my mind. I sigh and nod my head.
She takes my hand and I look down into her green eyes, “Jade you’re a vampire, you need to drink blood. I want you to go out there and do what you have to do, I just don’t want you to kill people for the heck of it.” She says.
“I would never ever do that Delilah.” I say truthfully.
She smiles. “I know.” She says.
“I-it’s just that these people have lives! And they have people that care about them and-“
“So do you.” She interrupts. “And I don’t want to lose you because of something stupid that I said again.” she says and she is right. If I don’t drink blood I will die, for real this time. Just three weeks and I could barely stand up. Nobody is blaming me because I have to do it. It isn’t fun, it wont be something that I look forward to, but I will get used to it. I have to get used to it.
“Okay.” I say hugging her again.
She smiles. “That’s my girl, I’m just sad we cant have any more late night nutella sessions.” She laughs. I smile and walk back into the house. Across the room I see Natalie sitting on the couch with a smile on her face. Oh my god I forgot about Natalie.
“Nat! I’m so sorry I was so wrapped up in-“
“Its fine.” She says with a smile.
“You can stay here. I don’t want you living in that house alone”
She smiles down at her hands. “Thanks, I-I think I will.” She says.
I sit down next to her. “Why are you so happy?” I ask nudging her making her giggle.
“I think I know,” says Delilah motioning to Natalie’s neck. I gasp, right above Natalie’s two collarbones sits a small silver clover charm on a thin strip of leather just like the one that always hangs on Niall’s neck.
“No..” I say a smile creeping on my lips.
“Yes!” she says looking at me with excited eyes.
“NO!” I scream in happiness.
We both jump up and hug each other
“I don’t want to get to happy yet, I mean I just met him I don’t know how it will go and-“
Delilah takes her hand. “He is your mate, you guys are perfect for each other. I know how you feel, but don’t have any doubts.” She says giving her a reassuring squeeze.
Natalie smiles and then throws her arms around Lilah.
“Thanks Delilah.” She says.
“You can call me De.” She says with a proud smile “everyone else does”
“Thanks De.” Says Natalie nodding her head.
