Dressed up my sister as Olive, then used B+W and lighting filters. It was difficult, she kept smiling.

The day after Christmas, the energy in the house had gone back to normal.
It was a generally normal day. The younger children had gone down to the beach, while me and the others were preoccupied with our other chores.

Miss Peregrine's frantic calls echoed through the house. Most of us assembled downstairs.

"Children, I regret to inform you one of Miss Avocet's wards was injured during her training. She is asking all ymbrynes to go to Miss Wren's Menagerie where they are trying to revert her to her original form. Can I trust you to take care of yourselves?"

"Yes Miss."

"Of course ma'am."

"You can count on us."

And so Miss Peregrine flew to the loop and left us in charge. It wasn't a big deal, apparently they had done it many times before.

It wasn't a problem until night fell and Marcy, Charlotte, Olive, and Claire weren't back yet. We all decided to look for them.

"Oh my god, a hollow could've gotten them!" Emma was freaking out. Abe grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her towards him.

"I would've known about it Emma." He shook her slightly.

"It's my fault. I was responsible for them." She said.

"We're just as responsible as you." Bronwyn added.

The rest of the night we searched for them, checking the beach, cairn, house, backyard and front yard, harbor, lighthouse, and the town.

After a thorough search of the town, we searched the cairn one more time, all climbing into the stone passage way calling their names.

I felt something crawl across my foot. It was dark, so I didn't know what it was. I shrieked and kicked out, the thing flying against the wall. Emma lit her hands and we all leaned in to see what it was.

What had once been a doll before it had broken stared back up at us. Hugh broke the silence.

"Does this mean they're outside the loop? They've been gone for a whole bloody day." He said.

"Well, the only thing to do is to go after them." Millard said.

"What, no!"

"That's an awful idea!"

"What happens when Miss Peregrine gets back?"

"We will take them back before she comes home." He explained.

"I don't like going behind The Bird's back, Millard." Said Emma.

"Fine then, none of you have to come." Millard said. I was thinking.

"I'll go." I nodded.

"If she's going I'm in." Said Hugh. Fiona whispered something in his ear. "Fee's going too."

"Should I come?" Bronwyn asked.

"If you want. Anyone else can too."

"Someone has to go back to the house for when Miss Peregrine returns. I'll go back." Horace said.
"I'll follow you." Said Emma.

"Enoch, you're the last one. Staying or going?" Asked Millard.

"You know what? I'm staying right here until you get back." Enoch said.

"Okay fine. We're wasting time." We all walked hesitantly to the edge of the cairn before going down the stone stairs. Coming out, we squinted our eyes against the bright sunlight. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Until we saw three of the four girls running towards us.

"Where's Marcy?" Asked Bronwyn frantically.

"We can't find her. We went off on our own and told her to meet back with us but she never came." Cried Charlotte.

"Well what are we waiting for? We've got to try and find her! Move!" Bronwyn pushed us forwards and we all ran down to the harbor. We earned strange looks for our outfits but we didn't care. It was a long way to the town, and us girls longs skirts were tripping us. Claire tripped first, lagging behind on her little legs. Bronwyn picked her up and continued running.

After a while almost all of us were sweating and couldn't keep running.

"Bronwyn I can't keep running like this. My dress is tripping me." I said. "The little girls can't keep up."

Bronwyn sighed. "I know know you can't keep up. Wait here then." Hugh, Bronwyn, and Millard kept running.

"Do you think they'll find her Netta?" Asked Olive.

"I don't know, Olive. It's important to have hope." Three hours had passed, and it was now pitch black outside. No one had returned to get us, so we went back through the cairn.

"Did you find them?" Asked Enoch as we came out.

"Marcy is being held by the harbor." Olive said.

"Guess I'll come back to the house with you." Said Enoch.

Six peculiars came back to the house that night, leaving four in the future.
