Springing up out of my daze, I blinked furiously trying to wipe away the sleep and the memory of the nightmare. Sitting myself upright, I felt my clothes clinging to my hot and sweaty body. Looking around, I realized I was on my land. I was far, far away from the meadow. I was away from that Voice..

Feeling this burning sensation just above my collar bone, I raised my hand up to touch the spot. Feeling the tender skin, slightly puffy. Slightly scared, I turned to find Blake laying down next to me. Memories of what had happened just a few hours ago flooded my mind.

I kissed William, and started the mating proccess. He marked me, and now I had to be his. He was my mate, but he marked me... Crawling on my hands and knees to William, I lightly grabbed his collar. Pushing it away, I saw my mark on him.

A half moon, with a side profile of a wolf inside the outer curve of the moon. It was our mark as mates, because every mating couple has their own mark. This was ours, and in all honestly it was beautiful.. Slightly pink from its fresh marking and mating, and within about a day or two it will be a nice white colour.

Suddenly my mind went fuzzed, and I began to freak out. Turning away from him, I shifted into my wolf. Running full speed for my house, I felt new things. I could feel William's sudden change between relaxation to pure fear and worry. I felt connected to something, actually like I had a place in this world. And it was scarying me.

Running into the clearing of the pack lands, I felt like they all knew. Which was easy for me, because I couldn't exactly handle calling a pack meeting and telling them. My pack was spreading all over the world, having human lives and trying to stay human but accepting that they were what they were.

Chavella was standing outside my house doors, leaning against the house. She had a slight smile until she read my fear and unease. She pushed off the house and opened the door wide enough for me to fit through. Following me inside, she turned and locked the door.

I ran up the steps, still as a wolf, and stood outside my door. Pushing my head against the loose board of my floor outside my door, I went down the stairs into my secret room. The only room Chavella and I knew about. It was sound proof enough for no one to hear us talking inside, but we could hear everything outside.

Settling against the small bed on the floor, I put my head over my paws. Waiting for Chavella to come through, most likley following my scent. I was usually always a wolf, I rarely liked being a human. I was always more opt to be ready to fight for my pack as wolf, then spend time shifting into one.

"Samantha?" Chavella called out, her voice was low and quiet. She opened the secret door, walked in pressed the button and watched as the door closed down. She turned and walked to the floor against the wall, slidding down till her butt met the ground. "I can smell him," She whispered, "I know you guys have mated. Thats the only reason I can smell him in your scent."

I could smell the ice tea on her breath, and if I tried hard enough to focus on just her scent... I could smell her mate, Brian. I shifted, sparks swirling around my body and left me in my human skin. I looked up at Chavella, but her eyes were on my legs.

Looking down, I saw black swirls. A wolf head at one end and it ended with what looked like a wolf's tail. It swirled around three times starting at my foot as the tail, and ended just above my ankle. I gasped, and almost started crying.

"S-Sam... Do you know what that means?" Chavella whispered, slightly awed.

"I DON'T CARE WHAT IT MEANS. I DON'T.... I don't know.." I said, and I started to cry. Big, wet nasty traitor tears poured down my cheeks. Chavella wrapped her arms around me, and whispered sweet nothings to me.

"It means you two are soul mates. You have been born many times, and each time he has found you. Or you two have met each other, and have fallen in love. You are destined to be together." She spoke, trying to enlighten me. But, feeling self concious, I tucked my ankle under me and wiped the tears away from my eyes.

"But.. How? I mean, we don't even know each other!" I snapped. "Chelly, I'm so not in the mood for this.. I can't handle it, and I just want to run and hunt... But I can't because he's out there! I can't do this, I have to leave." I started to get up, but she grabbed my hand.

"He will always know where you are, Sam. He will always feel how you feel, and you will feel his emotions too. Get some sleep, and I'll keep him out. Okay?" Chavella said, setting me down again and stood up herself.

Shifting back to my wolf, I settled myself under some covers in the room. Setting my head on my paws, I watched Chavella walk to the door. She left me to my thoughts, and my buzzing mind. Everything was flying around me inside my head, and I was becoming very dizzy.

Slowly, and almost painfully, sleep found me and pounced.
