She was tired, her exhaustion coming to me in waves. The link was dim, but her emotions were coming to me like a magnet. Us marking each other was probably the best thing that has happened to me. She may try to cover her emotions, but I still felt them. I couldn't read her thoughts, or talk to her through our link. But her emotions were something she wouldn't ever be able to hide from me.
Her presence was wonderful now, and it eased my wolf tremendously. It calmed my wolf, especially with him being in a completely different territory. New surroundings always made a wolf uneasy, it was usually the human side that chooses to leave. It was always the thoughts how not knowing what exactly is going through the woods and or surroundings. Or even what's around that corner.
"Sleep now," I whispered, cuddling closer to her. Being the big spoon to Sam was perfect. She let her body relax against me, probably just giving into the exhaustion. But, I was alright with that.
She turned towards me, and cuddled her face into the crook of my neck. Just over her mark that she gave me. She fit perfectly against me. We were made for each other. She seemed so small compaired to me, even though she was tall for a female. Wolf or not.
Grinning, I thought about the night we had shared just hours ago. It was perfect. She was perfect.

Sam looked at me, her eyes flashing with lust and slight fear. In a blink of an eye, she wrapped her arms around me. Pulling my face down to meet her perfectly carved lips. They were warm, and slightly moist. Peppering me with kisses that made my head swirl, and my knees almost gave out. With confusion and excitement.
Kissing her back, I tangled my fingers into her long hair. Pressing her body against me with my other hand, I kissed her back with the same fiery passion she was giving me. Her heart beat was raging against her rib cage, matching my own. Everything was perfect. Spinning her around, I laid her down on the ground of grass.
Sam pulled away, and I opened my eyes to meet hers. She opened her mouth, and stared at me. She was a fish out of water. "What is the matter?" I asked, worried I was doing something wrong.
"I don't know why I feel the way I do towards you," She swallowed. "But, I listen to my wolf more than my own gut. She wouldn't ever steer me wrong, and I have been told she's an ancient wolf soul. She is telling me to let you mark me." Sam spoke, her voice going into a lower whisper.
"Y-You... You want me to mark you?" I asked, stuttering. Sam swallowed again, and met my eyes before she nodded her head yes.
Lowering my head, I peppered her with kisses from her lips to her chin to her jaw line. Hovering over her neck, Sam arched her back and pressed herself against my chest. Growling, I could feel the shift of control between Sam and her Wolf. Which only caused me to shift control to my own Wolf.
"Are you sure?" I asked again, kissing her neck. Not being able to help myself, I felt my canines enlarger. Nibbling at her skin above her collar bone, the exact place where I was going to mark her if she says yes.
Sam pushed away from me, and grabbed my face. Her blue eyes were soft, and I knew instantly her walls of protection were down. My heart swelled with this information and the discovery of her new found trust in me.
"I, Samantha Ivins, would dearly love for you, William John, to mark me as your mate. I believe in my wolf, and she believes in yours." Samantha spoke, and her small delicate hand grabbed my large one.
"I, William John, accept you as my mate. I would love for you, Samantha Ivins, to mark me as your mate. To be together forever, because I believe in your wolf. My wolf has accepted yours the moment I saw you on this cliff." I brought her hand to my lips, and kisses each knuckle like a delicate flower. "You are perfect, and I would be only honored to have you as my mate."
Looking at Sam underneath me, I didn't see her as someone to just mark or mate with. She was a beautiful person, and it was ME who was the lucky one. She was truly breath taking, and I knew my wolf wanted hers.
Settling myself down, I leaned forward into her neck. Kissing softly above her collar bone, where her shoulder met her neck. This was where I would leave our mark. Declaring us as mates, and sealing us as one.
My canines enlarged, and my pupils dilated. I could smell Sam's slight fear, but her happiness was vibrating through her and into my chest. This was really happening, I was marking Samantha Ivins.
Biting down softly, I felt a warm liquid pour through my lips. Lapping at her wound with my tongue, I bit down harder. Feeling Sam's own mouth over the same spot I had marked on her almost sent me into over drive. Feeling my crimson life drop into her mouth, and fall around her to the ground was something I couldn't ever imagine.
Feeling my wolf jolt out of my mind, and meet Sam's wolf in the middle was amazing. Her wolf was breath taking to my wolf, and I could feel his lust and need for her.
I began to feel connected to Sam in ways I didn't think was possible. I could feel her power and her deep embedded sorrow. Memories of her life before her shift began to seep into my head, playing across my eye lids like a movie. We were exchanging memories of our lives before meeting. I only hoped she wasn't seeing my dark past.
A hard shove from Sam, sent me pushing away from her. I laid above her, my arms at the side of her head. My eyes searching for anything to tell me what was wrong. I couldn't feel anything from her, and it made me worry.
I caught her eyes, and saw tears forming. Whimpering, I grabbed her around the waist and flipped us over. Laying her over my chest, and holding her small face between mine, I looked at her.
'What is wrong?' I tried to link through to her, testing our new bond.
"William, why do you trust me?" Sam asked, obviously stuck between being spooked and concerned.
"Like you, I trust my wolf more than my gut. He's always kept me from the worst of worst, and when he fell for your wolf, I knew I could trust you." I spoke honestly.
"Will you lay with me?" Sam whispered, crawling off of me and on to my side. She looked up at me with such sad innocent eyes, I whimpered. "What's wrong?"
"No matter what, I will always find a way to lay with you. You are mine now, as I am yours." I said, cupping her hand in mine and pulling her towards me.
Laying on my back, I looked up at the clouded sky. It was the late afternoon, and the clouds covered just enough of the sun to be comfortable. Sam placed her head on my chest, probably intensely listening to my beating heart. Which only beats for her now.
And soon, a soft breathing evened out and Sam was out like a light. Only, I followed her shortly after.
