After Kaden had been initiated into the rank of Tribal guardian, he returned home to his wife; Snow.
"I have to go dear..." Kaden said softly.
"What? Why?" Snow asked.
"The village is in danger...Adrian promoted me to Tribal Guardian so I can accompany him and Angel on a mission to save everyone from the advancing Sun Wolf forces." Kaden explained.
"What...but what about the pup...what about me.." Snow asked as she moved closer to Kaden and buried her snout in his warm fur. "Can't they get someone else...?"
"That's what I tried to explain to Adrian...so he made me a deal. If I go on this last mission, he'll discharge me..."
"Kaden..." Snow said worriedly. "Are sure...?"
"Snow...I have to...for your safety, the pup's safety....everyone..."
"...okay Kaden..." Snow replied. "When do you leave?"
"Tonight..." Kaden said with a weak voice.
"...You should get going then..." Snow said regretfully.
"Okay...I love you..." Kaden said as he licked his wife on the cheek and headed out the doorway.
"Kaden..." Snow said again.
Kaden stopped in his tracks and turned his head.
"Please...please come back..." She said; terrified that she would never see her husband again.
Kaden walked up to Snow and gently rested his head on top of hers. He
whispered:
"I will..."
