Chapter 41
A week had passed since I had been given the news that I was going to be a Cybertronian. Right now that wasn't my biggest concern. I was more worried about the world leaders. Optimus' holoform, Lennox, Epps, and Ratchet's holoform all came with me. I had given strict orders that no one but Optimus, Lennox, and I was to speak. The only reason Ratchet was coming was because he was worried about me. I had been staying at a place in DC. It was off the former base, there was running water, beds, and food.
For the time being it was the perfect place to stay and it was large enough to house the Auto bots. I had managed to get my hands on a very low cut dress, and when I say low cut I mean on both ends. It was short and showed a lot of cleavage. I also wore a set of very high heels and had done my makeup. Since most of the council was made up of males, I was hoping to use my body to sway them to my side of things. No one was fond of the idea, especially Sunny.
A few hours after we left the base I found myself in the large white sterile room again. I was surrounded by screens as they came up out of the floor. "We only wanted to talk to you," the man with the Romanian accent said. This time their faces weren't in shadow. "Why have you brought others here today?"
"I have brought witnesses," I said. I left out the part that Ratchet was my doctor. If the world found out what was happening to me they would no doubt get rid of the Auto bots then study me like some kind of lab experiment. "They are here to help me convey to you how serious this situation is and that it is far from over."
"Oh, it's serious all right," a voice said that I hadn't heard before. He was from France. Before it had been a woman. "Explain yourselves."
"Sir, I only defied orders to save your life, your family's lives, the world," Optimus said.
"We were talking to her, NOT to YOU!" Someone said strongly in an accent so thick I could barely understand them.
"He is the leader of the Auto bots and if he wants to speak he will and you will listen to him as you will listen to me and Colonel Lennox," I said in a stern voice leaving no room for argument. I heard several grumbles, "ENOUGH!" I shouted at them. "The Decepticons will never be finished with this planet. They see all life in every universe as inferior to them and will not stop till they have wiped all living things but themselves out. The Auto bots may have defied your wishes but ask yourselves this one simple question, where would we be if they hadn't?"
Silence fell. No one spoke and I remained silent, letting them think. The silence was deafening it was so profound, my spark was racing with the anxiety I felt. Optimus could feel it as I had made a creator bond with him to help stabilize my spark. He always had been like a father to me. He sent me feelings of calm, slowing my spark but he was just as nervous as I was. Finally, someone answered, but it was with a question. They were trying to buy time for themselves. "Where do you think we would be?" It was the man with the Romanian accent and he did look like the blonde vampire from Twilight, Vladimir.
"I don't have to think I know. I know that we would be used as slaves to rebuild their planet, Cybertron. When they were done with us they would have killed us, if that's what you call being left in peace it is the final kind of peace. It's not the kind of peace I want to be left in. The Auto bots stayed to protect us, our home, our planet, our families, and in the process they lost their home, their planet. They can never go home and they sacrificed that for us, after they had been banished. They also destroyed the only thing that could help them continue their race and rebuild their planet when they first came here. They have given up so much for us," I said hoping my little guilt trip worked. "It is us that owe them."
Silence greeted my small speech. They murmured among themselves, "Lennox," one of them said.
"Sir," Lennox answered stepping forward. He was in his uniform, his hat tucked under his arm and he was decorated with his stripes, medals, and badges.
"What is your opinion on this? Is the girl right?" I rolled my eyes. Men, thought because I was a young female that I didn't know slag, otherwise known as jack shit.
"She is beyond right, sir. That war that destroyed Chicago would have been lost without the Auto-bots, they have given up so much for us and all they have asked for in return is that they can live here. I think it is more than fair that we let them stay."
"Stay on topic Lennox," I whispered to him barely moving my mouth. They didn't ask him about the war or if he thought the Auto bots should be allowed to stay.
"The decision for them to stay does not rest with you, it rests with the governments," the woman with a British accent said and she was beautiful. "Miss Ambassador?" she asked looking at me. I looked up at her, my hands clasped behind my back, my shoulders squared as I stood up straight. "What is your opinion on the Auto bots remaining here?"
"I believe they should be allowed to stay. The Decepticons will be back and we will need their help. The Decepticons may not be here today, tomorrow, a month from now, a year from now, but they will be back till the only life on this planet is them and them alone. Then they will move on to the next planet, and then the next, and the next. They will never stop unless we stop them here and now. And for that we need the Auto-bots," I said letting my New York accent show through, letting out my assertive side. I was in charge here, and I was making sure that they understood that I had power here without making them feel like I was taking it from them or going over their heads.
I had to lead them where I wanted them to be and lead them to the choice I wanted them to make without letting them know I was leading them. "We will talk among ourselves till we come to a decision; we will meet at the same time next week. Until then the Auto bots are granted temporary asylum." I sighed and left the room with the others, I was hoping to have a decision before I left today. It was now completely out of my hands, I couldn't lead them to the trough I wanted them to drink from.
"You did good Allison," Optimus said putting his arm around my shoulders.
I leaned into him, "I just have a really bad feeling that I'm going to fail you guys again."
"You could never fail us," Ratchet said. I wished I could believe him. I was the Allspark. They needed me to continue their race, to rebuild their planet, but I couldn't go into space, not for another year. The next week came and it was not what I wanted to hear. They were to leave or be hunted. I did manage to buy a year's time for them to build a new ship that could hold everyone so we could leave. But after a year the Auto bots would be hunted down and killed. That tore me apart. We had to leave. Thankfully since day one of learning that I was the Allspark I had put a plan away. Now I had to set it into motion.
