I walked out of the bathroom feeling refreshed, relieved and ready for the night's events, but then my cell started ringing; looking at the screen I saw it was Kristina.

"Hi Kris", I answered.

"Where are you", she said panicked.

"What's wrong", I said.

"The West Wing of the University is on fire", she said loudly.

"How is that possible", I said.

"And my sources tell me that Mr. Kim Sang Chow, was in that wing and he never made it out", she said.

"I'm on my way", I said scrambling to get out of the restaurant.

My school was on fire and Mr. Chow maybe stuck inside, what was this that was happening, it was so strange I really needed to wrap my head around it all. Chandler saw me rushing out breathless and he grabbed me.

"Babe, what's wrong", he asked, I was gasping.

"The university is on fire and Mr. Chow may still be inside", I said, I had to squeeze the words pass my lips.

Mr. Chow was my mentor, he taught the inner workings of science, he was truly a brilliant man, he was my friend, a little weird but still a good friend. I needed to know what happened before I could settle.

"Can we go", I asked him, and he hugged me.

"Sure babe", he said, "It's all going to be okay", I know we had a special date but he really understood, what this meant to me.

"Rayne dear, what's happening", His mother asked.

"The university is on fire", I said, she gasped.

"Is everything alright", his father asked.

"I think someone is still trapped inside", I said, as I moved around to open the door, but Chandler did it for me.

"Thanks", I whispered.

"We'll take a cab, you guys go", his dad said.

"Dad, are you sure? Chandler asked.

"Yeah, your mom and I will be fine", he said.

"Okay, I"ll call later", Chandler said.

He got in and them we were headed to the University, my stomach was in knots, my nerves didn't fear better. As we got there seemed to be chaos, people running all over the place, trying to get shots and eye witness account. I saw Kristina, she was reporting, did I mention she was a reporter? Well she was, the best actually, award winning and all. She was aggressive, ambitious and got results, she had skills and she was great at her job.

I turned my eyes back to the fire, I watched as the fire men brought out some of the auxiliary staff, it was the end of the term, cleaners would mostly be present. This was bad, I knew these people. Firemen were trying hard to contain the flames but the fire just blazed like it had some kind of vendetta. I watched Kristina wrap up, she ran over with the mike in her hand afterwards.

"Oh Rayne, I am so sorry about this", she said hugging me.

"Is Mr. Chow in there", I asked.

"I am so sorry", she said, "There were reports that he was seen banging on the window, but then he turned away, shortly after there was an explosion and the fire".

"I can't", I said as I turned into Chandler's chest, I crying.

"Baby, it's okay", he said, as he held me.
