The bleeding stopped and I feel a bit drowsy. Don't even know how I survived that lashing from the she demon. Star tries to get up but something is holding her down. She looks to see the The kid's arms and legs wrapped around her. He looks so peaceful and so tiny compared to me, thought Star. The wolf laid her head back down when she closed her eyes she fell into a deep sleep.
Among all the silence mumbled voices can be heard from downstairs.
"For some unknown miracle she's still alive but how long will you keep up with this?" "Gene it's not my fault. She was..."
Lila paused for a moment, thinking of an excuse to use.
Gene grew frustrated by the silence and exhaled a cloud of smoke.
"Was going to 'attack' you, Look Lila, I've had it with your bull." Gene got up from the kitchen table. Lila looks at him confused and asks,"Where are you going?" Gene pauses by the stair way,"I'm gonna take some time off of this ranch, and I'm taking our son with me."
Gene storms to the upstairs of the house while Lila is left sitting alone at the kitchen table. Dazed from what Gene had said.
Gene enters Tom's room and carefully picks him up and carries him over his shoulder. Star picks her head up to see what's happening. She tries to stand up but falls back down on the bed. "Don't worry I'll come back for you in a little, okay Star" and with that she wagged her tail and curled up into a ball. Gene quietly goes downstairs and out the front door. Just when Gene opens his truck door Tom yawns and rubs his sleepy eyes,"pa what's going on, where we going?" Gene opened his mouth to reply but was interrupted by a yelp that came from inside the house. The two reacted quickly by running into the house and up the stairs slamming the door open to see Lila holding Star by her throat.
Hey all you people sorry to cut this chapter short just thought I need to publish something and it looks like a good place to stop. I wonder if Star finally dies? I dunno I'll publish and make you sad for the fun of it. Later all you people.
