I yell at my little sister to look for an opening through the flames, and when the opportunity struck she took it. Leaving me to find my own way out. I run around frantically trying to escape the flames. My efforts were all for nothing. The heat taunts me, asks me to join the roar of the fire and become one with the flames. The crackling sound of a tree giving away at its trunk freeze me in place and send shivers down my spine.
In those few seconds it was like I could see my life flash before my eyes.....like I was there then I wasn't. I remember feeling the tree's angry flames nip at my nose, but then waking up in front of the lake near my pack's hunting grounds.
Then I heard my little sister screaming like bloody murder. "Did she not escape the fire's flame unharmed"?
She somehow got trapped inside a wood building that, yup you guessed it, is bursting with flames. I hear the same high pitched squeal ringing through my ears. I try to save her but, it's too late, Lily was taken by a human. "She's safe from the flames at least."
