"How did I do that!?"
"Do what?" Gran replied, trying to hold her excitement.
"I healed that guy...AND HE ALMOST DIED BUT HE LIVED!" I shouted hysterically.

"My dearest Lily..." Granny Terras voice trailed off. "You know so little of who you really are, and who you really were..."

"Grandmother Terra, please, explain why I have healing properties in my saliva." I was starting to get worried for Terra...the sheer melancholy in her voice tugs at my heartstrings, I want to help.

Terra looked deep into my eyes, and upon closer inspection, her eyes seemed to be almost purple. "Lily I need to tell you something."

"Terra!" Trent came in out of breath. He sensed Terra's deep sadness and cocked his head to the side. "Oh...I'm sorry, am I interrupting?" He asked sheepishly.

"No, no, come on in Trent. What's wrong?" She was back to being the strong chieftain of the pack.

"Kole has sent me to ask if you would allow a pack hunt, there wasn't enough food for the whole pack."

"Why couldn't he come in person to ask me?" Terra asked suspiciously. "Because he's getting preparations ready for Lily's arrival." He winked when he said preparations.

"Tell him I agreed to the pack hunt."

"YES!" Trent nearly leaped out of his pelt.

"But, only if Kole helps Lily lead the hunt."

"Awww..." The rust colored wolf slumped his shoulders and proceeded to tell Kole the news.

"Wait, me lead a fully functional pack?" I asked in shock. I've really never hunted before , well successfully anyway. This should be interesting.

"Yes. As the rightful leader and heir of this pack, I feel it necessary for you to mend your bond with the pack. And what better way to do that than to lead a hunt. But first you need to finish up healing that other wolf.

It's weird...I mean I always licked my wounds after that devil woman was done abusing me without reason. But I never thought I actually had healing saliva.

This time the neck was partially  ripped open and the wind pipe was pierced. So each breath he took was gurgled and painful. I licked the inside of his holy windpipe and the edges of his wound. The raspy and uneven breathing stopped and the deep hole in his throat closed up.

Grandmother was still proud of me but, I wanna know what she wanted to tell me and why it made her so sad. Who am I? Or as she put it-

Who was I?

Well weird past self questions aside😅

Terra took me to the feeding grounds after forcing the two newly healed warrior wolves to stay and sit this hunt out. They were begging to go out to hunt again. But Terra cares very deeply for their safety so she did the only thing a chieftain could do. Put them to pupsit the young. Yeah that was a scary situation....I don't want pups. Little greedy bastards all of them, some are good then others are just pure wild. I gotta admit though...the buggars are cute!

In the center of the feeding grounds stood Kole the one who I now know as my blood brother. He and Gran were talking but stopped when they saw me coming their way.

Kole looks to me with a fiery passion radiating from his eyes. While Gran gives me a slight smirk.

"So..." Kole starts,"Who's ready for a hunt?"
