I stared at the ceiling. I couldn't sleep, and my foot was killing me. I sighed, stretching my arms upward, in front of me. I couldn't stop thinking about what Levi had said to me. He said my name. I covered my face with my hands, groaning in frustration. Memories kept flowing in and out of my mind, causing a migraine.

*flashback*

"Hey, Levi," I called out as I ran up to him. He looked up from his spot by the canal, and smiled at me as I neared him. "Hey (Y/N), what's up?" he asked, standing up. "Survey corps are back," I said with a smile. He matched it as we ran to the main street that started from the gate. The Survey Corp came in on horses, wagons, and foot. It was obvious they had lost men, but their heads were still held high. Levi and I followed the parade of men and women, my father and his mother leading the way down the street. My mother had died when I was little, and the same goes for Levi's dad. Our families have been friends since before I can remember. My dad was the captain, and Levi's mom was his second-in-command, so they were good friends. They were like brother and sister, and that's how Levi and I were. We waved to our parents, and they each smiled back at us. Afterwards, we went back to the canal. I swung my legs over the edge, whilst Levi sat cross-legged. "Another expedition has ended," Levi said, and I nodded my head. "Are you going to join the Corps?" I asked, glancing over at him. "Hell yeah. I'm anything but comfortable staying here, trapped behind these walled layers," he said. I nodded my head, looking down a the water. Reflections from the sun bounced this way and that off of it. "And you?" he asked. I looked up at him, before rolling my eyes. "You already know that answer," I said, and he laughed. He raised his hand, and I looked at him. "Then, (Y/N), I guess we'll be doing it together," he said, and I smiled in response, high-fiving him.

*end of flashback*

I rolled onto my side, now staring at my desk. I let my arm hang off the side of the bed, as I sighed. My head was hurting almost as much as my foot now. I wish I had amnesia. Then maybe I would actually be sleeping, instead of recollecting the past. I closed my eyes, trying to get some sleep. I opened them a little later. It's hopeless. I'm never getting any sleep. I sat up, stretching my fatigued body, before standing up. My body is so tired, but my mind is so awake. I walked to the door, and carefully opened it, making sure not to make a sound. I slipped out, and shut the door behind me. I quietly walked to the kitchen, and got myself a drink of water. I sighed as I took another sip of it. I walked back to my room, taking sips from my cup as I did so. I shut the door behind me, and sat down at my desk, placing my cup down on the wooden surface. I sat back, throwing my legs on my desk. I cringed a little at the remaining pain in my foot, but soon got over it. I played around with my black ring, humming (F/S) to myself. I kept thinking about the fact Levi said my name earlier. Honestly, he has been acting a little strange these past few days, ever since we got back from our last expedition. I sighed, slipping off my ring. I looked at the inside of the ring. 'Ackerman' etched into the smooth metal surface. I smiled, remembering the day Levi joined the survey corps. My smile faded, as I remembered him collapsed on the ground, blood everywhere.

*another flashback*

"(Y/ N), TAKE YOUR TEAM TO THE REAR," Erwin shouted. "YES SIR," I cried back. I veered my horse to the right, pulling back on the reigns. My team followed, and we were soon in line with the new recruits. They were 3 punks from underground. I recognized one of them, but i doubt he recognized me. Levi. We continued on our horses. I noticed the girl looking around. None of them were taking this seriously at all. "Hey! Stay focussed," I shouted at the girl. The three looked at me, each giving me a confused look. "We aren't here for sightseeing. You need to be prepared at all times," I said. "But why?" The girl asked. "Yeah. We can take care of anything. You just haven't seen our skill," another said. he had blond hair, and an arrogant attitude. "And you haven't seen ours. Once a titan appears, everything happens in an instant. It's do or die out here," I said. Then..."10 METER AT RIGHT!" We all focussed our attention to the right, where a titan was running. "TWO 15 METER IN REAR!" another voice shouted. The four of us turned to look behind us. "T-that's a titan?!" The blonde said. "Yeah. We can't outrun them," I said. "WE'RE GOING IN. READY YOUR 3DMG!" I shouted over the horses to my squad. I squatted on my horse, before kicking my 3dmg into gear. I flew through the trees, pulling sideways. A titan attacked, and I dodged just barely. Instead, Nick was snatched out of the air. Blood splattered everywhere, but this was no time for grieving. I swung around to the nape, slicing a huge gash in it. The titan fell, and I landed on the ground next to it. I watched Levi and the others as they attacked the other titan. I sighed, watching as Levi swung left and right. He finally cut the titan's nape, as the three landed on the ground. I walked over, as the girl jumped for joy. "Did you see that? We were amazing," she called out to me. I lowered my head, sighing again. I heard footsteps behind me, and looked over to see Erwin. He passed me, glancing back. I knew he wasn't there to see them, so I pressed ever so slightly on my gas, releasing a light smoke. Erwin nodded his head once, before continuing ahead of me. "What happened here?" Hanji asked from behind me. "They used way to much gas fighting that titan," I replied. Her smile faded, as she let out a little hum. Erwin reiterated what I said to Levi. He just stared Erwin down. I sighed, hopping back on my horse, and we all continued on. Rain began to pour, and I pulled my hood over my head. A storm arose, causing a fog. I noticed Levi riding out of formation. "Erwin, I'll be right back," I said. Erwin nodded, not questioning my motives. "STAY WITH ERWIN, AND FOLLOW AS HE SAYS," I called out behind me to my squad. "YES MA'AM!" my team replied, as I veered to the right, away from the group. I turned around, racing my horse back to where I saw Levi. I finally found him. His horse was down, and he was on his knees. I neared him, seeing his friends dead and on the floor. I looked just ahead to see an abnormal. I growled. "THIS IS NO TIME FOR GRIEVING LEVI. DO OR DIE!" I called out, but he just lowered his head. I sighed. I hopped on top of my horse, before starting my 3dmg. I landed on the side of a tree, when i saw Levi stand up. He kicked his own gear in and flew at lightning speed, slicing the titan everywhere except the nape. Suddenly his gas ran out, and he fell to the ground. "LEVI!" I shouted, as the titan neared him. He tried to stand back up, but collapsed into a limp state. I cut in front of the titan, steering its direction to me. The titan's limbs grew back, and i took a deep breath. I swung straight forward, just dodging the titan's mouth. I reached for me, and I stopped. Adrenaline pumped through me, and my heart was racing at rapid speed. I flew around, but the titan grabbed my hood. I put my blades back into their slots. I looked down at Levi. He was staring at me in fear. Blood and tears smeared his face. I smirked as the titan began to pulled me closer to it. I waited for my moment, before I undid the button of my hoodie. I fell out, grabbing my blades again. I swung around and hit the titan's nape. I put so much force into that cut. It fell to the ground. I landed, completely out of breath. I collapsed from fatigue, landing on my knees. I looked back at a crying Levi. I sighed, slowly trying to regain my breath. I gained the strength and stood up. I walked over to my horse. The rain had stopped, but the fog was still there. Smoke signals would show useless here. I grabbed a sound can, and the gun. "Cover your ears," I said, plugging my own with one hand and my shoulder. I raised the gun into the air and fired the high pitched bullet. The sound rang through the air, piercing my ears. But, it was enough to get the rest of the Survey Corps back to our location.

*end of flashback/mini story*

My eyes snapped open. I sighed, stretching my sore body. I pulled my feet off of the desk, and stood up, placing the little black ring on my thumb. This has been too many memories for one night. I walked to the window, and watched the dark sky lighten with shades of pinks and yellow. At least I got some sleep. I walked over to my uniform and proceeded to put it on. We had some training today, and we would be going to visit the recruits, just to see how they are doing. I fastened the last buckle on my leg, and put on my jacket. I stepped out, shutting me door behind me. I walked through the halls, and into the dinning room. I walked past the tables, my boots leaving a trail of echoes against the wooden floor. I made it to the kitchen, and started a pot of tea. I sighed, humming a song as I waited for the water to boil. I was the only one up, but everyone will be awake pretty soon. The water came to a boil, and I poured it into a tea pot. I put in some tea leaves, and let it sit to steep. I leaned against the counter, waiting for nothing in particular. I heard footsteps echoing into the kitchen from the dining room. They were slow moving, and loud. I sighed, pouring myself a cup of tea. I pulled 5 more off of the shelf, and set them up next to the pot. When I turned around, there stood Levi. He walked over to the teapot next to me. "Slept in yesterday, up early today, tch, what's wrong with you?" He asked, whilst I rolled my eyes. "I couldn't sleep last night, so I got up," I said flatly. I took a sip of my tea, walking out, and I heard Levi follow me. I sat down in the corner of the room, putting my cup on the table. Taking another sip of tea, I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath, before letting it out in a sigh. "We missed morning tea yesterday because of you." I looked at the other end of the table, where Levi sat, holding his cup by its rim. "Is that so? I didn't think it would be that hard to make a pot of tea," I replied sarcastically. I unconsciously let out a yawn, covering my mouth as I did so. I rubbed the tears out of my eyes, before drinking some more of my tea. "No one can make tea quite like you though. I guess that's what you get for being British," Levi said. He was resting his head on his hand, staring at his cup. I looked down at my own cup. "I'm not British. I'm captive, and trying to escape," I replied.

A/N: And done. Finally finished this motherfucker. Ok enjoy ^^ -L
