(Just a heads up, (F/S) means favorite song. -L)

I felt my father pat my head as he stood in the doorway, ready to leave on the 45th expedition. "Be good, (Y/ N). I'll be back for sure, okay?" I looked at him with eyes brimmed with tears and nodded, a few crystal droplets falling on the floor. He gave me one last smile and I could hear the leather of his boots resounding against the oak floor as he walked out the door. I knew what was about to happen. Running out the door, I found my father saddling his horse, about to leave. I held his hand tightly, begging him to not leave. "(Y/N), please. I need to leave," he said slightly more seriously. Tears were streaming down my cheeks and I continued to pull on his arm. "No dad! You'll get killed!" I screamed with frustration. He gave me a serious, stern glare. "Are you saying I can't do it? God (Y/ N), I KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF MYSELF!" I looked at him with tears in my eyes, blurring my vision. I let go of his hand, sinking to the ground. I crouched down, hugging my knees, crying. Suddenly, I felt an arm wrap around me. I looked up to see that same corporal. His leg was bandaged, and he didn't say anything. I cried into his shoulder. I clung to his shirt as if for dear life... as if he was my dad.

My eyes shot open, tears rolling down the sides of my face. "Tch. Looks like you're finally up, brat." I looked over to see Levi resting against the doorway. His arms were crossed, and he gave me a smirk. I sat up, wiping my wet face with the back of my hand. I growled at him. "Why are you in here?" I asked. "You slept in, stupid." His smirk faded into his usual annoyed scowl
I rolled my eyes. "And we don't start training again in two days," I replied sarcasm laced through my words. I wiped my eyes again and Levi just stared at me. "That's beside the point. Why on Earth were you crying?" He said turning away. I looked down at the white sheets which covered my lap, looking for an answer. "Well?" I shot my head up to look at him. I opened my mouth before closing it. He glared at me before getting up from his relaxed position against the doorway. "Forget it brat. Just clean your room." And with that he walked out. I stared at the doorway, before letting out a sigh. "Shit," I thought. I haven't cried since I was 12... that was when my father left and never came home. I sat in silence for a few minutes, staring off into space. I soon stood up from the warmth of my bed, looking across my room, at all the objects scattered across it. Empty porcelain cups from my usual afternoon tea, drawings of Sunny and Bean from Hanji nailed onto the wall. On the floor, countless drafts of letters to Erwin, all crumpled up and torn. I wasn't an extremely messy person, I just have a hobby of pissing Levi off by keeping things out of order. I sighed, picking up one of the crumpled letters. "Cleaning would be good," I thought, continuing to pick up scraps of paper. "It'll take my mind off of that dream," I muttered to myself. I threw the paper into my waste basket, before shutting the door. I changed into my uniform, before cracking open my window. I breathed in the fresh air, letting it calm my body down. Then I preceded to organize my room

I finished dusting everything in my room, and decided to go take the empty cups to the kitchen. I held onto all of them by there handles, and went to the kitchen, leaving the door and window open to help air out the place. I put all the cups in the tub, and proceeded to clean them. No body was out in the dinning hall, all of the probably doing the same thing as me. I sighed, drying the last cup, placing it on the shelf. I stretched, walking back to my room. I turned the corner, singing (F/S) as I did so. I stopped, shocked to what I saw in my room. Well more like who...a very short who. "Um...Captain?" I asked. But he didn't turn to look at me. "Tch, what?" he asked in return, continuing to polish the floor. "Um, what are you doing in my room?" I asked pointing at him on all fours, as he scrubbed a dull mark imprinted in the wood. "What does it look like I'm doing brat? You obviously can't clean this place yourself," he retorted, finally looking up to give me a glare. I glared back at him. "I wasn't done smart-ass," I said, anger bubbling inside me. He stood up and walked over to me, so that we were eye to eye. "Fine then," he said, walking past me and out of the room. I sighed, looking down at the polished floor. I could practically see my reflection in it. God I hated that neat freak.

Time skip brought to you in part by Windex XD

I sat on my now made bed, looking at me completely clean room. I looked out the window at the world beyond it. It was nearing sunset already, and I decided to go watch it fall. I walked out and headed to the stables. I hopped onto Midnight, not even bothering for reigns or a saddle, and we headed out the nearby forest. I stopped her, patting her side, as I got off, and walked over to the tree nearest. I grabbed a branch, and began climbing it. I eventually made it to the top, where there was a thick branch. I sat down on it and watched the last rays of the sun shine through the night sky, causing a rainbow of color to run across the sky. I sighed, resting against the tree trunk, as the darkness of the night took over. I wasn't tired, so I stayed up there. I began singing (F/S), swinging my legs in time with the melody. Above me the stars glisten in the sky, each one surrounding the moon. It became very dark very quickly, and I decided it would be best to head back before Hanji calls out an emergency search and rescue. I laughed at the thought as I hopped down the branches. But one snapped, and I lost my balance. I fell down a ways, before landing on a branch. My foot cramped and I cringed in pain. I eventually made it down, and got onto Midnight, who was patiently waiting for me at the foot of the tree. I kicked the sides of her lightly, and she took off back to the castle. I put her in her stall, giving her some food, before making my way back inside. My foot still hurt, but I was okay enough to walk normally. I walked past Levi's office, noticing that his door was open. I brushed the thought off though, focussing my attention on getting a bandage on my foot. I walked into my room, and shut the door behind me. I got the first aid kit from my desk and sat down on the bed. I took off my boot, exposing my foot. It was red and swollen, but nothing too bad. I sighed a little annoyed, as I opened the kit. I took out the bandage wrap, and proceeded to tend to the injury. I sighed when suddenly I heard my door open. "Tch. And where the hell where you brat?" I looked up to see Levi walking in. I froze, not sure how to reply. He looked down at my wrapped foot and the open first aid kit lying on my bed. I sighed, only imagining what could happen next. "Why is you foot wrapped up like that?" he asked. I rolled my eye. "I injured it. I'm not sure why else it would be bandaged," I replied in a sarcastic tone. He gave me a glare, before sighing himself. "How did you do that?" he asked in a soft tone, sitting down at the other end of my bed. I looked at him, before back at my foot. "Climbing a tree. I was watching the sun set, and on my way back down, a branch broke beneath me," I said explained. I softened my voice, but kept it serious. Levi nodded his head, before standing up. He walked to the door, but stopped. "Well, goodnight... (Y/ N)." I watched as he continued out the door, closing it behind him. He just said my name. But he hasn't said it since we were kids....
