Lunch

After lunch, Alice came into the kitchen, where I was watching Pretty Little Liars on the flat screen t.v. (that was plastered on the wall), and escorted me to my new room, saying I needed to look my best if I was going to watch vampires hunt.

As we walked into my room, I went and sat down on my bed, while Alice bee-lined into the closet to find an outfit for me. Personally, I wasn't a big fan of a great quantity or variety of clothes, but that was probably because I haven't really gotten a chance to have that sort of stuff. I suppose, if Alice pushed me enough, I could become a snotty rich kid and forget my life from before. I want to move on, believe me, I do, but I don't know if I can. I don't know if I'll let myself.

I snapped out of my daze, though, when I remembered the man. My "father;" the one who...

Before I could dwell on those dark thoughts, however, Alice walked out of the closet with an ensemble that I instantly fell in love with. It consisted of black jean Capri's, a dull blue tank top, and a black leather jacket.

I grabbed the clothes and ran into the bathroom and changed. I hadn't really used the bathroom before, so I was amazed when I saw everything in it. There was a sofa along one wall and three sinks across from it. Around one were hairbrushes, combs, and other hair products. Around the second one was makeup- loads and loads of it; ranging from lipstick to mascara to nail polish and blush and back to lipstick. There was an indent next to this one, and I soon realized it was a seat, so that it would be more comfortable to put on makeup? I don't know. Anyways, the third one had hundreds of little bottles of soaps, lotions, perfumes, and hand sanitizers. There was a strong scent coming from that area, but it wasn't necessarily unpleasant. Whoever had chosen that arrangement knew what she (Alice probably, or maybe Rosalie...) was doing.

I was so preoccupied by this, that I didn't even realize it was time to go. When Alice knocked on the bathroom door, I glanced at the door at the other end of the bathroom, decided that could wait, threw on the clothes, found a ponytail holder, and ran out the bathroom, putting my hair up smoothly as I did.

Much to my surprise, Alice didn't even look mildly startled when I practically flew out the door. Instead, she was opening the door to my room and holding it open for me. Weird; how did she know I was coming out? Oh, yeah. Future-reader. I gave her a spiteful look, which, to my satisfaction, produced a confused look from Alice.

Edward and Tanya were waiting for me by the front door, but Alice walked right past them and said she was taking another car with the rest of the family.

Edward held out his arm for me to take, and as I did, I beamed up at him.

"Wait, too much," I thought to myself, so I toned down the teeth, and simply wrapped my hands around his arm and allowed him to lead me to... wherever it was that we were going.

Turns out it was a garage. Edward opened the door to a silver Volvo for me, much to Tanya's dismay, since she had to open her own door, and we were on our way.

Edward took a secluded route in the midst of trees that stretched as high as I could see; higher, since I couldn't see very high when I was in a car. Tanya kept switching back and forth from glaring at me to caressing and kissing Edward's cheek, which made me gag. It also made me feel something; almost like I wanted to claw Tanya's eyes out, but I ignored it. I couldn't be jealous. Edward is, like, years older than me, right? And he has Tanya, who is beautiful; she can also kill me without so much as a glance.

"Edward," I began, "how old are you?"

"He's seventeen," responded Tanya, not giving Edward a chance.

I gave up at that point, not wanting to get into a sour mood. I was so excited!

Luckily Edward was too oblivious to notice the venom in Tanya's voice and continued, "I died at the age of seventeen in the early nineteen hundreds. Personally, except for this one over here," he gestured to Tanya, "I like younger gals."

He laughed, "I don't really know why I told you that, but it felt right..." He trailed of. I smiled. Maybe, deep down, Edward actually had feelings for me!

Tanya gasped, "Edward! I'm only three hundred years older than you!"

I started chocking, "Only three hundred!!! That means you're four hundred years old!"

Tanya turned around and lunged at me, claws out, but Edward grabbed her around her waist and held her back, "Tanya! What has gotten in to you?"

Luckily, we had reached our destination. I guess Alice knew what happened, since she pulled open the door as fast as she could (which, obviously, was really, really fast) and pulled me out just as Tanya slithered out of Edward's arms, "Come back here you little-"

"Tanya!" Edward scolded, putting his arm securely around her waist, "Enough! She didn't know better!"

Emmett raised his eyebrows, "What did you do Izzy?"

"It's Bella!" I snapped, "And I didn't so anything! I just... said something about how I thought four hundred years is a long time to be alive!"

Emmett guffawed, "You're four hundred years old?! That's, like three hundred years older than you, Edward, and I thought you were old!"

Tanya glared at him, but Edward was the one to speak, "Enough! So she's a little older than me, so what?! We're in love," I cringed, "and nothing is going to change that!"

Just as I was about to burst in tears (I guess I got a little more attached that I'd like to admit), and man came running at us from behind Tanya and Edward. I gasped, and everyone except for those two formed a protective circle around me. Tanya and Edward simply turned around, Edward pulling her closer to him, "Who are you? What do you want?"
