It's your fault

Glenn and Maggie whipped their heads around to see where the screaming was coming from.

Maggie screamed when she saw the blonde girl, Maddie, crying and struggling as three walkers chewed her flesh. She let go of Glenn and grabbed her gun, shooting the remaining walkers in the heads.

Maggie ran over to the girls twitching body, holding her in her arms as the blood from her open bites stained her clothes. Hit tears streamed down Maggie's face.

Glenn rushed over with his knife in hand. Right before he stabbed Maddie in the head, Maggie stopped him and grabbed the knife, her hand trembling.

"Maggie, you have to do it. Now." Glenn said with a soft voice. Maggie nodded her head, then before stabbing the girls head, she ran a hand through her hair.

"I'm so sorry it had to be you.."

Back at Woodbury, Maggie had Glenn carry Maddies body to Daryls front door. Maggie knocked.

Daryl answered with a smile on his face when he saw her. But his smile faded and his eyes turned sad when his gaze flew across the girls limp body in Glenns arms.

"Maddie.." his voice shook. "God dammit Maddie!" He ran out and took the girl from Glenn, dropping to the floor with her in his arms.

Maggie dropped to her knees next to him, tears rolling down her face. "Daryl I'm so sorry.. She didn't deserve this." Maggie put her hand on Daryls shoulder, but he shook it off.

"Leave." He said.

"Wh-what?"

"LEAVE!" He screamed at her, eyes filled with anger and disgust.

Maggie scooted away, waiting a few seconds before lifting herself up off the ground and leaving, Glenn holding her close.

"Its all my fault." Maggie's voice shook. "He'll never forgive me.."

Glenn looked at her. "Its not your fault, Maggie. People die in the apocalypse, it's the nature of this world."

She looked up at him, a smile spreads across her face. "The only good thing about today was finding you." Glenn smiled back, then wiped her tears. Maggie leaned in and kissed him for the first time in what felt like forever.
