I'm bored. I think as I twirl my hair around my index finger over and over again out of habit. Here I am sitting in another boring college class and of course it's my least favorite.
Science. Blah. I move my eyes away from the projector which has phases of mitosis and sexual reproduction.
Well at least something is getting laid. I smirk thinking the only guys I'm interested in are only on t.v.
A double knock on the door jars the deathly silence in the room, as the teacher walks away from his perch on top of his chair and to the door.
"What can I do you for?"asks the balding professor, as the class begins to awaken with voices talking amongst themselves.
"Ahh,I see come inside. Don't worry we was just getting to the good part." He says with a laugh, as the whole class groans. He moves his hand ushering the people in the hall to come inside.
My eyes wander off thinking of how I could be watching my men right now fighting monsters but nope I'm stuck here in real life.
The class starts making enough whispers to catch my attention for a moment as I look towards the door.
I can see why they're all talking, walking to their seats are one boy duh because he's new and slightly attractive the girls are gonna talk, and of course the guys are gonna stare at the blonde bombshell next to him.
Typical. I think as I watch them take their seats.
Of course it is rare to get new people here, I kinda feel sorry for them as I look away. I mean everyone knows everyone here half these idiots I went to elementary school with, so why would they come here...it's not like the town is famous for anything, we're just another lost in the woods community, with churches on every corner and football games on Friday night's. Hmm maybe they like boring.
The professor starts back his lesson as I pretend to pay attention to the projector. I groan I can't wait to leave. I must of been a little louder than I thought because I catch the new boy glancing at me from up front.
Yeah I see you. I think as a smirk crosses my face to his turned back and the girl nudges him to pay attention.
Maybe this semester won't be as boring as I thought. The professor finally finishes with his slides and says we can leave. I quickly throw my things into my purse and start heading to the door.
"Oh Violet, will you hold on please." The professor asks gesturing for me to come to him. "You two." He gestures again at the new students.
Great. Almost out of here and what they just reel me back in. I cross my arms as I wait for them to come to us.
"Violet, since you pay such good attention in class I would insist you help Mr. Blaez and Ms. Tala. He gestures to them like I don't realize who he's talking about even though we're the only four left now.
Part of me wants to scream and part of me wants to run, and the other part of me is hungry as I hear my stomach reminding me why I should never skip breakfast again.
"Sure no problem." I choke out as he grabs his man purse and books and leaves us there standing like a bunch of idiots alone.
I finally look at them and see that they have as much excitement on their faces as I do on mine. Great. Just great.
"Well I can give you my notes to copy if you want, we normally don't have tests till Friday so that should give you plenty of time to write them and give them back." I say getting my notebook out.
The girl scoffs at me rolling her eyes like I just disrespected her outfit and walks out leaving me standing there with boy wonder.
What's crawled up her butt. I think to myself.
"It's just notes..."I say under my breathe as I catch the boy staring at me again. Is he gonna do this a lot? I move back and forth on my feet not used to being stared at not more than a second anyways.
"Thanks, I'll talk more to her about her manners."A deep Irish accent replies, and I know for a fact my jaw is hanging open. He takes the notes out of my hands gently, which may or may not have been easy, since I was kinda standing there like an idiot.
The only thought I can think right now is mostly shock, or maybe I'm stunned like a deer in the headlights..
Irish. Really. Here. Wow.
I finally correct my self as he leaves the room, obviously chasing after his flawless, dramatic partner.

Reality hits as I walk on the sidewalk to my truck, it's red with dents and it hasn't had a good paint job since before I got it, which is saying a lot since my dad used to own it, but it's mine and it's the only thing I have left of him.
My mood saddens a little as I start to get closer. I hear a rustle in the bushes next to me and walk a little faster. My town isn't known for thugs or theft, but it's also not normal for new people to show up out of no where for no reason.
Then I think of his voice again...and how I reacted.
"He's gonna think I'm an idiot.." I groan, but why do I care what this stranger thinks of me? He's just like every other boy he even has the hot girlfriend to prove my point. He doesn't care. Neither should you.
But I do. I think finally getting into my truck.. I just don't know why. I see the waning moon in the back of my rearview window as I shut the rusting door.
Tomorrow should be interesting.
My truck comes to life as I coax it. "That's my boy." I say to it rubbing the dashboard. "You never let me down." I head out of the parking lot and take a left towards the road that leads home.
Finally. I sigh turning up the radio, the moon following me in the background.
