After two weeks of police, family and specialist visits, it was finally time for me to go home. I wasn't that excited, but the doctors and my specialist thought that seeing familiar places and people would jog my memory. I walked slowly to the car, as my cast still wasn't taken off, and scooted into the back seat. As we drove around the streets, I could recall a few streets and houses, but everything was still a little blurry. The car finally stopped, and we got out. My mum escorted me to the door and dad brought my bag. When she opened the door, I spotted a huge banner that read 'welcome home', just seconds before a large crowd of people jumped out and yelled "SURPRISE". I now felt very underdressed, standing there in my pyjamas, so I quickly said hello to a few people I knew and rushed upstairs to clean myself up. When I rushed up to my room, I quickly looked through my cupboard for something to wear. I chose a red flannel and ripped black jeans, I remembered that this outfit was my favourite. I didn't know why, but I knew it was. I quickly threw on black vans and looked in the mirror. "Oh my goodness, my hair", I said quietly to myself. I ran to the bathroom, washed my face and tied my hair up in a high ponytail. I looked in the drawers for my toothbrush, and quickly brushed my teeth. Makeup wasn't my thing so I left my face as it was. I could hear my family members asking where I was so I had to get back downstairs fast. As I walked down the stairs I heard someone say "Y/N!" I looked down to see my best friend, Chloe. "Chloe? Is that you", I asked. "Well duh! Oh my you look terrible". There were another group of girls there, they looked around my age. They walked over to me and said "hi y/n, we were-", Chloe cut them off. "Look, freaks, we don't associate with losers like you, so leave." I felt really bad inside, but if Chloe didn't like them it was probably for a good reason.
