"Y/n?, Y/n?" I could hear faintly but all I could see were shadows that alternated from dark to light. I slowly widened my eyes but now all that I could see were blurs, of what looked like the figures of people. "She's awake!" I heard an array of gasps before a cluster of about 4 or 5 people rushed through the doors. A tall man, wearing glasses and a white coat, peered into my eyes and asked me a simple question, "what is your name?" I tried my best to speak but the words couldn't quite form. Instead, I exhaled and groaned as if to let him know that I heard his question. I then heard some mumbling and the same question being repeated. I widened my eyes more and attempted to say my name again, now realising that I was in a hospital. "Y/n, my name is y/n." The doctor continued to ask me questions. "What city do you live in?" "S-Sydney", I replied. I turned from the doctor and looked at the group of people who were now gazing at me. Two figures ran up to me and hugged me tight, when they pulled away I could see two faces that were familiar to me. "Oh my baby, I knew you would come through I just knew it", said my now-recognisable mum. "Mum, dad, what's going on?", I said. "Honey, just listen to the doctor, everything will be alright, I promise". I immediately wanted answers, I didn't want a sugar coated response, I wanted the truth.
