I Refuse to Sink ~ B.B

Chapter: 3

Meg's Pov

I awoke in a horrid way, my palms and forehead were all sweaty. My heart was pounding. I was still in Beaus arms from the night before, when we watched the movie. Everyone was still asleep. 

Well at least I thought everyone was, that is until I felt Beaus arm wrap around my waist. He pulled me closer to him. "Are you OK?" He whispered in my ear. 

"Er... Umm... Yeah.. Just a bad dream, sorry if I woke you up" I stuttered in reply.

"Don't worry about it I was already awake, now as for the bad dream..Don't worry, I'll protect you" whispered, as he stroked my arm. He pulled me closer yet again, Now my face was up against his shirtless chest. 

We just lay there in complete silence. I felt safe in his arms. My thoughts were interrupted by a very loud "AWWWW".

I removed my head from Beau's chest and looked over to the other couch Only to find Jai sitting there sleepily with a huge grin on his face. 

"GET A ROOM" yelled Luke. 

"Luke, we are just cuddling, she had a bad dream" Beau replied.

"Oh, sorry guys." Luke spoke quietly, you could tell he was a little embarrassed by his earlier assumptions from us cuddling.

 I let out a massive yawn, "gosh I'm tired, whats the time?" I asked. 

"Time to get a watch" Luke replied. 

"I have a watch, its just upstairs in my bedroom" I defended myself. 

"Well what use is it up there?" Luke quickly shot back. 

"Holy cow!" Jai spoke shocked. 

"What?!?" Luke, Beau and I said in complete unison.

"it's 12:30, fuck it only feels like 7, in the morning" Jai replied.

 "Wait what!" I almost yelled. "I have an appointment at 12:45 , the school, to get me enrolled for next term, oh no Mums going to kill me" I said feeling like i was about to cry. 

"You go get changed" Beau said pointing at me. 

"you pick up the blankets and fix the lounge" he said pointing to Luke. 

"and Jai you ring the school explaining Meg will be 10-15 minutes late" he ordered. 

"Wait, mum didn't give me the schools number, I'm doomed." I replied.

"Don't worry we know it off by heart, not only did do we prank call them, we rung them pretending to be Mum saying we were going on a holiday or some shit like that, so we could stay home without Mum finding out " Beau smiled. 

"That was before beau graduated" Luke butted in. 

"Now quickly go get changed" Beau said.

7 Minutes later.

I went to hop in the back seat, when Beau stopped me. 

"Your not a baby you can sit up the front with me, you know" he said with a grin plastered across his Beautiful face. 

I blushed then climbed into the front seat. The car ride was silent, but a comfortable silence. I could feel Beau looking at me out the corner of his eyes. 

I looked out the corner of my eyes to indeed find Beau looking at me out the corner of his eyes, with a smirk on his face.

"whats with the smirk?" I broke the silence. 

"Oh nothing" its just that your really really pretty." He whispered.

 Heat arose in my cheeks and I blushed. Beau noticed me blushing. 

"Whats with the blushing?" Beau asked mimicking the way I asked him about the smirk. 

"Nothing" I replied, just as we pulled into the school. I raced into the office and was greeted by a old lady with short grey hair at a receptionist desk.

As she had just finished telling me to wait on the couch until the principal was ready, Beau caught up to me. He was now standing right next to me, and I mean RIGHT next to me.  Anyone would have thought we had known each other for years. 

"Ah beau such a" she paused for a moment, "surprise to see you" the lady said. 

"actually miss B, your meant to say; such a wonderful surprise to see you Beau." Beau corrected her.

Well this "miss B" was not happy. "Well that would be lying now Beau, because its a unpleasant surprise to see you" she snapped back at him.

Just before Beau could reply with more smart ass comments the principal walked in. "Such lovely to see you beau, staying out of trouble I hope" she said.

"Its only trouble if you get caught" beau chuckled. 

"Well what brings you here anyway?" She asked curiously. 

"Nothing much Judy, I'm here to accompany Meg, as her Mums at work. Sorry we were late, she slept in." Beau explained. 

"I slept in, more like you slept in" I interrupted. 

"That's more believable, considering that was one of you classic excuses as to why you were usually late, you even tried using that one in 3rd period." The principal said looking at beau. 

Beau smirked whilst looking at me.

After the enrollment meeting 

Beau's Pov

Damn it, Meg learnt a bit too much about what my reputation had been like at Penola school in the first 15 minutes of speaking with the principal. The way she described me was harsh, even for that old bag. 

She made me sound like a complete, bad ass player who was too good for anyone. I mean I was like that 1 year ago, but I have changed since I graduated last year. I'm not sure if she believed those words the principal said or not. I hope not.
