Chapter: 18

Alice's pov

I did exactly as Meg to me I organised everyone to get to her room immediately, I told them the doctor had to tell us something.

However as I didn't want to give anything way I masked my happiness with sadness when I told them, like what the doctor had to say was bad news.

When I told beau, the doctor had something to tell us, he immediately thought of the worst possible things.

This obviously was good for the plan but I couldn't help but for sorry for the poor guy. He obviously blames himself for everything and cares deeply about my friend.

As I gathered everyone up It was becoming very difficult to sit still and contain my excitement, although with everybody else expecting bad news and anxiously waiting the arrival of the doctor nobody seemed to notice.

"So what does the doctor have to tell us?" Luke asked. Breaking me away from my train of thoughts. "If i knew that, I would tell you dumb ass" I replied, trying to lighten the mood a little bit.

Obviously we informed megs mum, cause it was part of hospital protocol or some shit but her, the doctors and I are obviously the only ones that are aware she has woken up.

Once everybody was here Meg's Mum began the plan.

"Hey Alice remember that time you Meg got arrested?" Shes says, adding in some fake tears to make it look like she really was reminiscing. Wow I never Knew how well Meg's Mum could act. Bravo, Bravo.

"Wow hold up" Beau yells, looking at me then briefly at Meg lying in her hospital bed. "You guys got arrested?" he asks, shocked to say the least.

However unlike Beau everybody else in the room didn't eve batter an eyelash when we said we had got arrested, they didn't even seem surprised.

"Hahaha yeah we did, good times. I will never forget the look on that cops face when Meg faked being a pregnant lady giving birth" I say through tears of laughter, remembering that day well.

We all began to laugh at that.

Meg's Pov

Alright my time to shine is coming up soon. I can't believe it was only Beau that was surprised that we got arrested, like gee thanks guys now I know you think I'm some criminal or something.

"I will never forget when they rung me and told me exactly what happened, I nearly dropped the hone from laughing so hard." My mum added.

Wow she got to laugh at us getting arrested but she still got to ground me for it, unfair if I do say so myself. 

 Their laughter is making me feel very guilty, no one should have to be put through all the stuff they have been through with me. 

Maybe it would have been best if I had stayed away from the Brooks family and their friends all together.

Something Jai said caught my attention dragging me away from my deep thoughts, " You know, although all this bad thing has happened Meg has really bought us all closer together, now we just need an opportunity to thank her"

Wow Jai you really know how to cheer up a girl whose faking a coma, I guess not all bad did come from moving to this city.

"So what exactly did you and Meg do to get arrested?" Skips questions Alice sounding rather interested.

"Well we were on our way to the beach, Meg was driving.. quite fast if I do say so self. So before we knew it a cop was pulling us over. Meg being Meg tried her very best to get us out of a ticket, unfortunately her very best seemed too e faking to be pregnant and in labor, right before the cop got to her window she had grabbed our picnic blanket from the backseat and shoved it up her shirt."

Alice paused as the whose room erupted in a big round of laughter.

"What Meg didn't think of is if she was the pregnant one why would she be driving, and in the opposite direction to the hospital. So long story short Meg got us arrested for lying to a cop by acting like shes pregnant to avoid a speeding ticket."

"You say it likes its all my fault, my plan was quite perfect if i d say so myself. I didn't see you coming up with any plans." I say quickly jumping to my defense. Just like earlier everybody heads snapped to my direction.

Before anyone else could say something Mum, Alice and I all screamed "SURPRISE!" at the same time.

After composing themselves from their initial shock everybody came racing up to my bed to give me a big group hug, everyone but Beau. One everybody has released me Beau came up, hugged me and whispered in my ear "I wanted a hug with just us".
