Chapter: 15

Meg's Pov

That's it I'm giving up, I can't do this any longer. I m just going to stop smoking it. I'm going to let him Kill me, I can't go on living like this. At least if he kills me he will be putting me out if my misery.

I start sobbing apparently quite loudly cause soon after I heard warren shout" stop sobbing Meg you slut"

Skip's Pov

I was walking home from the Brooks house which is only about 3 blocks away. I would of driven but I had some alcohol at the Brooks and didn't want to risk it. Plus I thought walking home might give me a little time to sober up a little bit.

I was walking past the abandon house half way down my street when I heard a man harshly yell "stop sobbing Meg you slut" my immediate thought was to ring the police. What if it was our Meg.

After I got off the phone with the cops I went and hid behind a bush in case the man that was yelling exited the abandoned house and saw me. Moments later I could hear police sirens in the distance.

But shortly after I heard a high pitched scream coming from the house and then I Saw a figure run off down the street into the darkness of the night.

Meg's Pov

After Warren yelled at me I quickly stopped sobbing so he wouldn't come in and see I haven't smoked any of the weed. Then I hear police sirens. Moments after Warren rushes in with anger in his eyes.

He's tremendously angry. He grabbed his knife, and soon I feel a sharp pain shoot through. My body. He had stabbed me In the stomach. I let out a very high pitched scream.

Then he sprints out. My eyes slowly start to close. Im struggling to stay awake. Then my head just flops to the ground and blackness over takes.

Skip's Pov

I couldn't stand around waiting for the police so I ran in. I looked in all the rooms quickly then I heard a thump just before I entered the last room. What is saw when I got in there horrified me.

It was our Meg. Covered in blood lying limp on the ground. I run up to Meg. She is definately unconscious. Shit. We need to get her to the hospital.

I run back out the house to find the police here I ran up to the officer. "Sir she's in there it's my friend Meg she unconscious help." I scream.

"Son the ambulance is about 1 minute away, did you see who did this though" he says as we walk back in to the house.

"I saw a figure run off down the road when he heard the sirens, I was hiding in the bush waiting for you but I couldn't help but feel I needed to go in see if whoever screamed was inside." I replied.

"Although it was brave, it was very irresponsible imagine if there was more than one attacker we could of ended up with two injured people opposed to one " the officer points out.

"Sorry" I sigh.

"It's okay you just had to see if it was your Meg, and it is, just don't do it again" I was about to reply when the ambulance arrived. The paramedics got her on a stretcher. Put pressure on her cuts and took her in the ambulance.

They asked if I wanted to go with the but I said I had to get family so I will be at the hospital soon. I begin to run and run until I reached to Brooks house. I knocked vigorously on their door. Till an annoyed and sleepy looking looking Luke answered the door.

"What did you forget this time you dopey idiot" he asked.

"Nothing but get Beau, and Jai. I found Meg she's in an ambulance now on the way to the hospital hurry " I scream.

Before Luke even had time to turn around Beau and Jai came running down the stairs. Beau grabbed his keys and we were about to leave when Beau dashed off next door to Meg's house.

Moments later he reappeared with Meg's mother who was bawling her eyes out. We hopped in beaus car. I texted James and got a reply in less that a minute later saying he was on his way.

Beau's Pov

I can't believe she's been found. We are on our way to the hospital, Skip hasn't even explained why Meg's at the hospital.

At soon as we pull into the hospital I park then we all jump out the car. Luke, skip and I sprint into the hospital whilst Jai walks with Meg's Mum Tony who's still bawling her eyes out and is a bit shaken up.

I run up To the receptionist. "Meg Thomas" I huff out.

"She's in surgery at the moment when's she's out only family members will be able to go in and visit her at first" she says.

"May we just ask what's she in surgery for" Luke asks trying to hide his frustration.

"She was stabbed, we have an empty waiting room if you all wanna go make yourself comfortable."

"Thanks" I say turning to the others.

2 hours later

James and Alice, (Jai texted her) turned up about 2 minutes after us talking to receptionist. But now all we're doing is sitting In The waiting room.

Meg's mum is still crying, yet by now we have all shed some tears. I'm trying my best not to break down. But it's hard.

We're all just sitting in a circle and looking at each other when we hear someone. Clear their throat in the doorway.

All our heads snap In the direction of the door. "Ms Thomas" the doctor standing in the doorway asks. Meg's mum stands and walks out the door.

They talk for a little bit before she comes back in and says "guys only family are allowed in to see her so if anyone asks Beau and Daniel are her brothers and James, Luke and Jai are her cousins.I've already said this all to the doctor so don't blow it guys" she says.

"And Alice the doctor made an exception to you when I said you have known her practically since you were three so you basically are her sister we're allow in soon okay guys" she adds.
